  1. His niece works for sky so he gives them a lot of soundbytes/access to players/for interviews etc. Their higher-ups are very clear about not criticising him. Really ? So pundits go against what they believe because of that (if they really think he's rubbish of course). That's just ridiculous if true. Any of them who give them access and stories get an easy ride. Note the lack of criticism for Allardyce, for example. Their production team is full of family members/friends of players/managers/ex-players. You are told in production meetings who can't be criticised/about whom criticism cannot be aired. They don't mind letting people question Wenger on air because, amongst other reasons, they think he never does anything for them above the bare contractual minimum. It's the same across so many of their departments - there are children of former England Cricket players in the Cricket production team, for example, because in return daddy tells the ECB to grant them first-rate access and first option on everything. It's a really despicable organisation to be frank. What a joke, void all integrity if that's legit. I don't doubt you either if i'm honest, it explains a lot in regard to Hippo head and Pardew.

  3. I actually don't think it's that, i think he sets up how he knows but as soon as it doesn't work, as other teams figure it out, he's then clueless. Hence trying the same thing over and over again without it working. He's utterly limited to his plan A, which as we, West Ham, Charlton and now Palace are seeing is limited, hoofball, floaty set pieces, hope for magic idealess rubbish. There is no other way, he simply doesn't know one, he is the perfect example of one dimensional in football manager form.
  4. Watching Kammy and Ben Shepard just now, they were talking about Palace's bad run along with the guests. They came to the conclusion that it was because they didn't have a striker, and that's the reason for the bad run since last christmas. How does the cunt get away with it, no looking at his tactics, his style of play, his inept subs, his string of pathetic excuses. They didn't even mention his subs just before the corner at Spurs that cost the goal, even though they were shown in the highlights. It's unbelieveable how it seems to be no fault of his at all.
  5. I love Alex Neil getting annoyed at his players for not passing it enough, shorter passing goal. I like him, he's young and could go far as a manager.
  6. Also despite our slow start he's barely had any saves to make, we have to give him some time to bed in. As shaky as he looks he's not cost a goal yet, and if we keep winning he'll get more confident.
  7. He's already said he wont, in regard to league games anyway. If Sels makes errors and plays poorly he might be dropped. But as Joeyt has already pointed out, he's not been responsible for any goals yet, and isn't jittery enough for the defence to be nervous about him so far, imo.
  8. Very true, like every new player to English football he needs time to settle. I don't like the flapping two hands instead of punching mind. He seems to flap at crosses that he should be catching too, I know he needs to settle in but early signs are a bit worrying. Hopefully he'll grow in confidence if Rafa is going to stick with him. That's the key, he'll get the support from Rafa. While Rafa is ruthless about his team changes, he spoke about Sels and him needing time to adjust, and how the GK's won't be rotated like outfield players are (in the league).

  10. http://www.skysports.com/football/bristol-c-vs-newcastle/report/358148#ooid=g2azdnNTE606kjIDGFwlpsKy20QBT6hL Sels in those highlights
  11. It's all the more baffling that people in football swallow his 'front foot fast football' bollocks when it's nothing of the sort.
  12. Very good point which i think Rafa will ignore tbh. He expects whoever he puts out to have an understanding, hence the repetition in training in those scenarios, also the reason he so readily drops/rotates players if they don't live up to his standards, it's just how he rolls. Which is fair enough. Ideally all 4 of the centre backs would be on an even keel anyway as they'll all be needed this season. I think he's still searching for the best combos too. Good points there I think we'll all have to get used to how Rafa does things. Also we have to get used actually having enough players to rotate and manager who knows how to do it. Seems so long since we were a proper football team/squad.

  14. Didn't they get £25 for Bolasie though? £4m for Jedinak too. Pardmatics will be spinning that like near bankruptcy

  16. Well the Mike Dean being bent theory in regard to this game has gone out the window
  17. I think this is where we'll all get it wrong with Rafa, he'll rotate a lot with two games in a week. He mentions it so much he's got plans for it stored up in that big brain of his.
  18. He was but Otamendi also had hold of the front of Shawcross the whole time too. Shawcross got caught, his own fault and something he's got away with for years. Refs should give every single penalty for shirt pulling if they see it. It was a pen, but it annoys me how much a sides status gets them those kind of decisions. Stoke wouldnt get that decision the opposite way imo. I'm still annoyed about their offside goal last season & Tiote's dissallowed goal. You're absolutely right, decision do go the bigger clubs way. Joe Allen being foued just then proves it. All i noticed was Otimendi had hold of the front of Shawcross's shirt at exactly the same time, the difference for me being Otamendi was trying to get away from Shawcross. I think it's a penalty, but you just watch Hughes defend it because of the shirt pulling by Otamendi. Opinions i suppose.
  19. That was a nasty tackle on replay.
