  1. Anita/Tiote because Colback is nailed on to play.
  2. Everyone does realise if we don't sign him we're carrying on with the Anita/Colback/Tiote perm 2 from 3 axis of evil right ?
  3. SSN saying the lower you are in the table the more players you sign in the January window. Hahahahaha will buck that trend
  4. Exactly, whatever rule you put in place will be flawed. They'll never be one good enough to be honest.
  5. :lo: aye, it's a pipe dream tbh Oh yeah, it'll be Colback holding with Baldy getting forward, or playing left or right wing as is farmer face's want.
  6. Yeah you do, well intent anyway. The example i tend to use is, say when a player throws himself in front of a shot, almost every time the ball strikes his arm it's never given. As they're no intent but there are occasions when put their arms out like a GK would, now even though there's no intent, for me it should be a penalty but the law says intent and or arms in an unnatural position. Again even then you can pick holes it that, your arms are attached to you so what is an unnatural position, there isn't one imo, but again it's an opinion against and opinion thing. For me it's just a feeling as i ref, let me decide 100% and then it's 100% down to me, and i can't then hide behind the law if i get it wrong as refs and the FA do now.
  7. Well, he'd be a start. Bet we'll be haggling over the fee though and it will breakdown. Or we won't pay the wages, despite the fortune of Sky money coming in.
  8. Yep, i've been saying that for years. It would take away intent as the supposed factor. So a player would be penalised for the ball hitting their hand accidentally, if it happened to deflect favourably for them? That's even worse. Yup, you'd have players aiming for the oponents hands if they had nowt else on as well As the ref you would see that and not give it as that's the attacking team trying to gain an advantage by exploiting a certain scenario, like i said nothing would be perfect, it's just trying to find a better way than what's in place now. And even then you'll still going to have better refs, poor refs making decision right or wrong, nothing will ever be perfect, it's simply not possible.

So a player would be penalised for the ball hitting their hand accidentally, if it happened to deflect favourably for them? That's even worse. That's too simplistic of a way of looking at it, every situation is different. Let the ref decide how it should be judged, most do anyway now to an extent. To be honest there simply isn't going to be system put in place that'll work 100% of the time. They'll always be something wrong with whatever law is used, it's just appointing one that reduces errors or mistakes/unjusts the most. For me as a ref (not doing it at the moment as i'm playing Saturday afternoons), it would be easy for me to make my mind up about every individual incident, rather than follow the law to the letter as you're supposed to. Just in my experience, letting me decide for myself what is a penalty or not feels best in a game.

  11. No intent should mean no penalty, but a video ref would have to judge the intent of Dyer then....good luck with that.
  12. He's crap, Sunderland us earlier this season, and he was the ref in the Blackburn League Cup game a few seasons back, gave a penalty against Krul when he clearly got the ball. He's just poor.
  13. How the hell are Tottenham so high in the league and trying to win this game, i mean the Europa League. Fecking nutters.
  14. Dele Alli is as thick as mince like.
  15. I did, he doesn't seem to be in their team at the moment. He'd be perfect for us, box to box, tackles, scores a few, Premier League ready. We'll value him at £5m, they'll want £6m, and someone else will buy him for £7m. Ah Portsmouth, Leeds etc Aye, he's basically a lot of what we need in midfield and he's played in Thai league. No chance they'll have even considered it though Never knew that
  16. Played well, is better than Dummett going forward, is better defensively, is better. Sub on Tuesday.

  18. Always difficult to sign a striker you know, Pardew explained it to us, despite about 13 other team in our division at the time had already signed one or more each
  19. Says it's available to Sky, BT and Virgin customers via the red button.
  20. Yep and throw in stupid managerial appointments. It's baffling why we don't just appoint a French/foreign manager to actually go with the system in place. Having Pardew as manager was idiotic in the extreme, especially with his treatment of HBA, MYM and Abeid. Cabaye was a Pardew type, hard work and suited to English football with a bit of extra quality. JFK couldn't have fucked him up to be honest. Then to appoint farmer face, ok he's worked abroad but ffs his record tells you he's not good enough. We're a joke of our own making despite ample chances to change direction.

    Steve McClaren

Yep, and that bloody 5th place...it seems to repeatedly give him an easy ride with everyone not connected with us, apart from his previous teams fans who know he's a total arse.

Not sure but i think he's only walked away from two jobs, Twente (2nd stint) and Forest, he's been sacked from the rest, or left to go to another job. Scarily he doesn't actually look like a walker from a job Yeah,I'm worried but I think he's softer than old fish lips, if it gets really nasty I don't think he'd stick it. Was just checking his forest resignation, Can't see him saying that here tbh I'm not sure i'm remembering this correctly but didn't he fall out with the Forest owners, hence leading him to leave, along with poor results as well mind. And you're bang on, there's no way he's say that. He's had ample chance already and said nothing, as gutless as his predecessor in that regard.

Yes, which is why I think those who think he will walk are living in false hope. If he quits he knows he's finished at this level, plus there's too much money on the line for him to walk away from a job like this. While it's mathematically possible to stay up he'll hang around. More in hope than any belief he can change it. Aye, doesn't look like he'd walk does it.
