  1. Was listening to the Ornstein and Chapman podcast today, apparently club sources have relayed to them that they firmly believe Bruce is the ideal man to take us back up in the event of possible (probable) relegation Wonder if he can improve upon his heroic 12th placed finish last time when he was down there managing the biggest club with the largest wage budget in the division at the time.
  2. It’s painfully obvious the level of disdain Bruce has for the club, city and wider region. I bet he absolutely hates travelling from Cheshire into the North East.
  3. Why are pundits and fans clutching their pearls over these 'personal' attacks on Bruce? It's just part-and-parcel of the game, similar happens at every club, in every league throughout every season. Managers, players, referees and fans get absolute dog's abuse in the majority of stadiums they play in, crowds are a cauldron of animosity and elation in equal measure. That frenetic emotional energy is a signature element of the sport. Now there's definitely lines that shouldn't be crossed of course (racism in all forms etc.) but calling Bruce a fat cabbage-head cunt is just typical football terrace soundings. Fucking hell, the amount of grief even Ayoze got in the Gallowgate back in the day for instance would make these pundits eyes water Presumably this is just another example of Newcastle fans being held to an exclusively higher standard for no other reason
  4. Would be incredible if Juventus fail to even qualify for the Champions League
  5. Add Schar to that list, and Lejeune if he was here. Schar always looks like he can't believe how thick Bruce is. Dubravka and Lewis also. Lejeune probably outright refused to play for him in the summer after how badly Bruce handled his injury rehabilitation, he was risking his career staying here.
  6. Yeah and illustrates how the Premier League ownership test isn’t fit for purpose This club is being driven to ruin on the back of advice from an individual who isn’t officially employed by the club in any capacity. For all the focus the league has dedicated to the Saudi ‘shadow director’ issue, it’s just incredible how our (lack of) formal corporate structure isn’t similarly scrutinised to any degree.
  7. Can’t have been that shocking, since they also beat us 3-0 at home this season.
  8. It’ll be great when St James is sold-out first game the fans can attend.
  9. Watching the game today was soul-destroying. We're so far behind other teams in the Premier League it's unreal. We're not even making up the numbers in a semi-respectable way, rather we're actively run to be cannon fodder each year. If we don't go down this year, we will the next, there's little point in even rooting to stay up when the future is just going to be this.
  10. Steve Bruce genuinely seems like a horrible person like
  11. Worst possible outcome, allows him to limp on into the next game again
  12. He left Aston Villa 12th in the Championship when he was sacked with the biggest wage and transfer spend so sounds about right
  13. Didn’t Shearer rip the piss out of him for that if I remember correctly. Yeah he did, couldn't believe Gerrard could keep a straight face in the studio hearing him whinge about it
  14. Jenas is a total cunt, remember he was on BT a few years back saying he couldn't get in the England team because he was surrounded by players at a lower level at Newcastle, not remembering that we were competing regularly in the Champions League and had higher-placed finishes than teams like Liverpool at this time He's so incredibly arrogant and thick
  15. Wonder if Murphy or Shelvey even hit the target once in training, they're utterly woeful
  16. Shelvey needs a mobility scooter to get around the pitch when it hits the hour mark
  17. Vintage Shelvey performance tonight, just needs to get himself sent off now
  18. What type of man will he become at the end of these 90 minutes I wonder?
  19. "If anyone is to score a spectacular goal, it's Jonjo Shelvey!" You've literally seen him have about three horrendous efforts in the first half
  20. Good half, Man United can only get better, they've been terrible
