  1. Decent start, somehow bringing Man United down to our level, they look hopeless
  2. It was pathetic that, one touch out of his feet and he was in a much better position than any Newcastle player there
  3. You are a mad man there isn’t a chance Staveley & Ruebens will buy the club without PIF if they wanted to they’d have done so by now You’re absolutely wrong Staveley attempted to buy the club in the May prior and thought she could. This was an attempt to keep Benitez before he left, the Saudi’s only came on board in the November. She will own the club regardless. The price will be at a reduced level and I’ll gladly accept you’re apology in a couple of months when i’m right. She had backers then too wasn’t just her and ruebens. f*** all apology due Did she who were they ? That’s guesswork on you’re part I’m afraid. We’ll both know who’ll be right in a few months and that will be enough for me ? The next carrot to be dangled when we are relegated will be "the PL have cleared the way for a Saudi takeover, now all that has to happen is promotion". This is absolutely what is going to be put out and the Shields Gazette and other individuals in the NE press will be shamelessly stringing fans along for the clicks
  4. Could make the play-offs next season with them playing regularly
  5. Yeah everyone, stop questioning unreliable sources and using any form of critical thinking when it comes to a prospective Newcastle United takeover, it's gone so smoothly thus far
  6. Why does he even want to still manage? Surely losing every week must embarrass him to some degree, he must know he can't manage at this level any longer (or ever at all) He can't need the money
  7. Just need the national journos to patronize us again how 'lucky' we were not to be taken over
  8. Couldn't be more pleased Apart from the fact we lost the game
  9. Like McClaren all over again, lose three or four (or however many) on the bounce, get a result of of nowhere to buy the manager some time, lose the next string of games Rinse and repeat They'll act too late again and we'll go down
  10. 1 win in 13 10 defeats in 13 games
  11. Good luck to him, very important player for us in the Championship and first season back in the league to consolidate Didn't develop as we'd hope, especially in regards to eradicating those defensive frailties we all know he (still) has, but still a really good professional, played over 100 games for the club and I wish him well Such a great opportunity to move there too, massive club and an exciting challenge
  12. “ It's never going to be easy for any Newcastle manager because of the great expectations the club has and the unique club it is. I'll do my utmost to turn it around. I'm never going to walk away from it." Yeah such expectations, like being able to win a single game in 11 matches
  13. Rubbish player for a rubbish team under a rubbish manager
  14. Agree entirely. That was put much better than I was trying to explain in my essay. But he’s about to pay a 6 figure compensation fee to Bournemouth for an extra coach so surely your logic is wrong ? A 6 figure compensation fee is far cheaper than sacking Bruce and appointing someone like Howe. A long term management appointment is not going to happen, if worse happens over next 3 games Jones will get the gig. Bruce has to go, however giving the job to jones in any capacity even as caretaker would be a disastrous decision. Have to agree, he failed at Luton for crying out loud Shouldn't be anywhere near the club, even as a coach
  15. The discussion is though, about whether that was down to Bruce or not? I'd fall into the camp that says it wasn't. They were probably all just enjoying getting away with doing very little in training and i'm not sure that you can put that down as a positive with regards to Bruce's management skills. I think Bruce simply harnessed what spirit was originally there, he didn't build upon it in any meaningful way. That's led to stagnation and eventually as we're seeing now - self-destruction Bruce's man-management skills seem okay when things are going okay, but they're woeful when the fortunes turn. He's thrown the players under the bus multiple times, not to mention risking the careers of his players coming back from injury - Lejune, Dummett etc.
  16. I agree with Samp on his point about team spirit, as bad as we were last season, that spirit was evident and it got us some results that objectively, we didn't deserve. However this season, that same spirit has since disintegrated
  17. If he's offered the Celtic job, he should take it, it's a great opportunity
  18. If this club wasn't a joke, he never would have been appointed
  19. This bloke is vile, the sheer disdain he has for fans is palpable The same lines he's coming out with now, he did the same in the past to berate Villa, Sunderland fans etc.
  20. Charnley was obsessed with getting McClaren, taking no notice of how both our and Derby's seasons imploded I would bet it was the same case with Bruce, he was the first and only choice on his list, for whatever inexplicable reason
