  1. Genuinely would rather start one of the young lads like Joe White in CM than Ritchie.
  2. It'll be a Sunday game or a Monday night again most likely as they're crowning some royal nonce on the Saturday.
  3. League One opposition should be getting put to the sword regardless like but they're flying atm. 2nd, won the last 3 scoring 9 goals, unbeaten in 13 and only lost once at home in the league. Held Southampton at St. Mary's in the League Cup but only went out on pens.
  4. Went to watch Iraola at Vallecano (who we just played in a friendly the other week) as well. I think I put an post back in March up about it all, I'll try and dig it out.
  5. We make match threads for cup games don't we? Or just use the draw thread(s)? Just merge this with the draw thread if it's the latter.
  6. That time out of the game he took post-Bournemouth has improved him as a manager, especially defensively. 6 clean sheets on the bounce in all comps, Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester in that 6. The togetherness in the team and relationship with the fans is Atleti-esque too, other teams will hate it as clearly seen by the fewm tonight and earlier on in the season but we're reaping the rewards. Shame we were an Isak offside/corner away from being unbeaten in 18 games.
  7. Was just about to quote that. Even out of the draws, aye like the Man City game was one that had the life sucked out of it. Or Wolves, who sat back and allowed us 64% on their own patch, or Palace where we were robbed of a 1-0 win due to VAR incompetence or Bournemouth where we had 72% possession. Clueless, horrid Manc twat. Hope he gets severe cholera.
  8. Best CB I've ever seen play for us, though Schar has been excellent this season and almost matching him in performance levels.
  9. Dyche to come in I reckon to keep them up. Then they'll be on the Sunderland trail of constantly hiring and sacking managers and stinking the league up in order to stay up before eventually going down.
  10. Simeone has clearly rubbed off on him and I fucking love it.

    Dan Burn

Was that the one where Joelinton won the ball but was booked for it? Fair enough if that's the case.

    Dan Burn

Was really good but he should've had a pen given against him in the second half. Can't be holding onto shirts in the box at set pieces, man.
  13. Dunno which thread to put this in so I'll stick in this tank's
  14. Eddie should've knocked Arteta out. The horrid bizarre little fucker that he is.
  15. Can they stop picking out the fatsos in the crowd pls
  16. Good performance thus far. Joelinton has to score that chance, mind. Sake. Keep it up lads. No daft second yellows Wilson and Bruno pls.
  17. Need the defence to hold firm early doors as they'll come out flying at us you'd imagine. Get through the first half hour or so and we have a chance of getting a positive result; they've only kept 1 home clean sheet in the league all season and that was to Forest who've only scored 1 goal away from home so far.
  18. It's been the case since Guardiola has been at Man City, him coming into this league was a watershed moment for English football imo; the season before he was here Leicester won the title with 81 points and from that season up to now every champion has accrued over 90 points (with the exception of the behind closed doors season of 2020-21 where 86 points won it). Pre-Guardiola I don't remember the big 6, certainly the top 2/3 teams cantering to wins as much or as emphatically as often as they do now, PL clubs have done quite well in the Champions League post-2016, England have performed well in the last 3 tournaments as opposed to what happened in the 25 years between 1991-2016 and the PFM has mostly died a death at top level football. Still to be convinced it's just a coincidence that this has all happened since Guardiola has been at Man City, whether that changes after he goes (and Klopp for that matter) remains to be seen.
