    On this day...

That first half is one of about three particularly memorable halves in the Bruce era, would you say? That one, then the two halves at Bournemouth? Has there been any others that would threaten to jolt the likes of me out of my hateful stupor? I know we've won games on the odd occasion, but I'm talking about really capturing the imagination. Maybe throw in the stoppage time at Everton, if you enjoy a bit of Jordan Pickford giving NUFC totally undeserved points out of nowhere. So three halves and a stoppage time, what a ride. Richard Keys is right. Games I've enjoyed under Bruce. West Ham (a) Nov 2019. Contrived to throw it away but we should've been 5 or 6 up at HT. West Brom (a) Mar 2020. Miggy finally played in his best position and it finally looked like we were putting lower league opposition in the cup to the sword. Still contrived to throw it away. Bournemouth (a) July 2020. Probably our best performance under Bruce. West Ham (a) Sept 2020. They came close a few times but given how West Ham are doing this season its looking like one of our best wins. Burnley (h) Oct 2020. Probably the only home game where we looked in control for the majority of it. Everton (a) Jan 2020. Best we've played for the whole 90 minutes. 6 games after 1 season and two thirds. How grim.

On a less bright note, as the Bruce era has been AIDS, the West Brom away cup win is already a year ago today. Time's flying, or being wasted. I had to watch the first half in a lecture, as my Tuesday lectures last year finished at 9pm (fucking draining). When ASM hit the post with a thundercunt from 30 yards thankfully the lecturer didn't hear me shout "fucking hell!" from the back of the room.
  3. Spurs (h) Liverpool (a) City (H) Leeds (h) Villa (a) Wolves (h) Arsenal (a) Chelski (A) It'll be done before needed to beat burnley and palace Agains, this is the dumbest argument. Every team has to play every team, there's no such fucking thing as a list of hard fixtures coming up. Everyone has to play all the teams twice. Fuck off. Agree but also disagree . Its a moot point but you'd much rather have Sheff Utd, Burnley, Southampton and West Brom as your remaining or next 4 games than Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Leicester wouldn't you? You have to play them at some point anyway, it doesn't matter, as the other teams also has to play them "Oh my, we have to play Man City next, that's bad for us" .... wait, what? All the other teams also has to play Man City at some point. Again like I agree, but say at the start of a new season if we're taken over () I'd want games v the big six spread out rather than play them all in our first 6 matches. If you get me.

  5. He's his mate and has dug his heels in to sticking up for him despite 18 wins in 67 games. Chats shit and is generally patronising to the fans then tries to be witty about it by claiming he's sipping wine or some other lifting patter. Wish it was bleach, the fucking bald cunt. Him and the Tory rag he writes for can get to fuck.
  6. That's an extremely balanced take and one that should definitely be prioritised over Edwards' more dramatic tidbit. PIF are only coming in if arbitration bears fruit. That was always the case. But now the whole thing has been complicated by the prospect of relegation. It's as simple as that, really. Things don't look great but they don't look dead and buried, not by any stretch. Aye, pretty much. Steve Bruce jeopardising the long term of future of Newcastle United. Nice bloke though. Apparently.
  7. Eh? His first game was 17 October, a 1-0 defeat at West Brom. 25 October, his second game, was the derby.
  8. :anguish: That cunt should never put a black and white shirt again after that Southampton red card. Not to mention his lack of footballing ability. Odious cunt.
  9. Probably 7 or 8 but need to see how these games go and how rancid the XI we put out on Sunday is. Win on Sunday () and I think we're more likely to stay up than drop.
  10. No idea why he persists with burg Jow. Murphy's not great but he at least has a decent cross in 5 in him.
  11. Was just about to post that he said that shite in the tweet above. He's got as much of a clue about this as he does hairs on his head.

Last game at SJP with fans in was a year ago today. Well, on the 29th February. Not surprised no one remembers it like, was absolutely dreadful.
  13. Where have you heard that, Paully? My pet giraffe Him and Krafth apparently should be ok - ASM apparently won’t be Maxi out for long or nah?
  14. Not entitled at all. Carragher said on Sky recently that we're rightfully unhappy because of this.
  15. We don't win this and we may well be fucked. Good news on the injuries may change that, but I just did the predictor thing in the Chronicle and this and Sheff Utd (h) are the only 2 wins I had us down as getting. Quite a few draws though.
  16. Rafa hurt his ego by regularly telling the press post January 2017 how much of a cunt he was/is. The money being spent is a huge middle finger to the fans and to Rafa particularly for doing that. Also had quick look through my old posts just before, found these. Scary and probably what's happened/going to happen.
  17. Went to the Sheffield United defeat at home and AZ in the UEFA Cup that season. I remember being absolutely terrified at the former, was 5 going on 6 year old and the atmosphere was poisonous. Read up more about it and it tended to be towards Shepherd more than Roeder. Either way, what a run he took us on in the backend of the 05/06 post Souness. A seemingly fantastic man who'll be very sorely missed.
  18. Aye, proper weirdo is Burnsie, the alien nonce. Tries to give off an ITK persona but he's just a bell end. He deleted a tweet a few weeks ago saying 'heard from his scan that Callum Wilson will be out for a week or two at most you heard it here first', then it came back that he was out for up to eight weeks.
  19. Aye, when he got injured v Southampton at SJP under Rafa and had to come off he was in tears iirc. Bless him man.
  20. Fucking hell. My first season of starting to properly go to games was under him. RIP.
  21. telling Jones to f*** off. When was this? bit of lip reading going on while bruce and jones were talking Apparently MOTD picked it up. Directed at Jones? Did they discuss it? Genuinely don't think this is that deep or has much in it.
