Happily take all the teams around us losing up to our game at Everton. Just need to be within 6 points from safety at the start of January given our fixtures.
-
Leeds are dreadful at the back. Stones had time for 3 attempts on goal there.

Under Guardiola, Man City at SJP have won 2, lost 1, drawn 1. Both of their wins were by 1 goal; 3-4 and 0-1. The 3-4 defeat and only draw were under Bruce. 9 times out of 10 we'll get beat, but at SJP we always give them a tough game. Our defence this time round however, jesus. Managed to bag 3 v them back in May under Bruce though.

Aye, just underlines the fucking state the club's been run since promotion in 2017. Villa's first season back in the PL was Bruce's first in charge of us.

Unreal goal from Ramsey. 0-1 Villa.
-
So has his mam now after this.
-
Will be surprised but chuffed if he comes here. Kamara and Botman on top of that and that'd be a really good window, anything more on top of that such as Lingard or a striker to backup/challenge Wilson would make it an unreal window.
-
If Trippier is a non starter I'd like to see us go for Maitland-Niles from Arsenal, can play full back and in midfield. Came back into the side at Arsenal after complaining at no game time but has been frozen out again.

Brentford v Man Utd called off.

In the summer, yeah. According to the French press we made a bid and he turned us down on deadline day but the journalists here poured cold water over that.
-
Yeah. After the links with him out of curiosity I watched a couple of Marseille's Europa League games and he was really good. Solid DM who breaks up play with a lot of energy. Also can fill in at CB. Only 22 as well so will improve. Whether we're able to sell us to him with our league position though remains to be seen but he'd be an unreal signing.

Am not subscribed to the Athletic but in here it apparently says since the takeover we've kept in contact with him? People who can read it does it actually say that?

I'd hope for something like this after the window, 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. Dubravka New RB Botman Fernandez/Schar Lewis Kamara Shelvey Maxi Joelinton Lingard Wilson We won't get all the targets we want in January, it's a shit window to do business in. Need a centre forward as well really, we're a Wilson injury away from being fucked. Though if we were able to convince Lingard to come here going off his West Ham form he'd be able to chip in with a few goals. But if West Ham go back in for him he's going there, no matter how much money we offer him. No idea who we could get for a new right back either, Trippier is a non starter imo.

Willock needs to play in either a 3 man midfield, with Hayden or he shouldn't play at all. Willock and Shelvey is not an effective midfield partnership at this level. Plus, Willock needs to be further up the pitch so he's got men behind him when he does lose possession which this season has been fairly often. He's not a #10 though, more of an 8.

This metric is both a positive and a negative. One one side it's Howe's effect and getting us further up the pitch. The negative(s) is that we're having that many touches in the box and not fashioning anything clear cut and that the opposition only needed 15 touches in the box to score 4 against us.

Haven't won in the league at Anfield since 1994. This is going to be a case of just keeping the score down. Depressing but it's where we are. 2-0 or 3-0.

Great to be back in an away end yesterday, first time for me in years and the away end was top draw. Great support throughout and very few early leavers when the 3rd and 4th goals went in. If only we had a team to match it. The first half was largely a non event, didn't really see the pen incident clearly at the time but now that I have, dunno what the point in VAR is when the refs are not being told to go and look at cons like that. 0-0 would've been reflective of the game in the first half, no clear cut chances for either side. They were able to just play on the break after as we don't have the nous to break teams down when the onus is on us, which is really disappointing given their defensive record. Felt like things could easily have turned if we equalised or got it back to 2-1. To collapse and lose 4-0 and not have the opposition play well to do so is really worrying and reeks of relegation. Massive opportunity missed as they were beatable and our upcoming fixtures are grim. Major changes needed, was really disappointed with Maxi yesterday as well, not just his performance which was completely ineffectual but just went straight down the tunnel at the end. May have to be used as an impact sub for the next few games.

Free 5er on Targett and McGinn cards, 16/1.

We tend to never blood ours though. Many of those u23s and u18s will never make a first team appearance for us going off the recent past, places in League Cup and FA Cup matches which other PL clubs play youngsters in have went to the likes of Krafth, Hendrick and Joselu.
-
U18s beat West Ham in the Youth Cup 2-3. This Michael Ndiweni sounds promising, would love to see him play at some point.
-
We deservedly stuck 4 past them and should've probably scored more against the strongest side they could put out if they had no injuries last season. Not saying we will again but there's goals in it for us, no reason at all to me why we can't go there hopeful of beating them.
