  1. True, but Schär not being in the side means only Shelvey has the capability to competently pass the ball forward.
  2. Absolutely fucking raging. Very disappointed.
  3. Same. Need to keep this gap more or less the same, if we shorten it all the more better. Our run of games from Everton away through to Brighton at home are good and by then we'll have the window and Howe will have hopefully fully got his ideas across and fitness of the players up.
  4. Got train back yesterday, just excited to see Howe on the touchline tbh. Bruce puffing his cheeks out with his arms folded is etched into my brain. Fat prick. Has to be 3 points. Just has to be.
  5. He has to score there. VAR might've given his boot size offside though.
  6. Are refs being told not to give clear decisions for VAR? Worrying as fuck that he didn't give that straight away, same with the red card for Brighton v us last month. Mad.
  7. Siuuu dunno why it's so funny
  8. I remember when we beat them 1-0 under Bruce, the Matty Longstaff winner, where Rashford was playing up top for them and he just didn't look interested at all. Must have a few games like that.
  9. Yep. No Arsenal player fouled him, no Arsenal player was offside. His own teammate 'injured' him, and the ref shouldn't have stopped the game as it wasn't a head injury.
  10. Atkinson doesn't stop the game until the ball's in the net, even then it isn't a head injury so he shouldn't have stopped it.
  11. That has to be given, surely.
  12. In seriousness, probably a 4-3-3. One defensive sitting midfielder, one box to box and one playmaking attacking minded midfielder as the central 3. All rounded CF, with quick, direct wingers who can come inside and chip in with goals. For home games or games you expect to win, push the full backs on and overload opposition in wide areas. For away games, have the full backs a tad more reserved in committing forward.

    Rafa Benítez

Will always love Rafa for what he did and I'll always fight against the bollocks misconceptions about him and his time here. Its a real shame he took the Everton job before the takeover happened but its happened. We have Howe now and he has my full backing just like Rafa had. He's never a DOF, but can't help feeling the Rafa ship is sailing ever so slightly away now. Not that I'd be disappointed if he was managing us, but I want to see what Howe can do with us with a few more games and hours on the training ground under his belt.

    Rafa Benítez

Why undermine Howe by bringing Rafa above him man. Up there with wanting Keegan back as manager, mental.
  15. Leicester and Everton aren't games to fear imo, especially if we can beat Burnley.
  16. Someone shit at home please. Wins breed confidence, no matter who it's against.

  18. We just need to get that first win, it's a monkey on our backs. Since Bruce left we've only lost twice, to Chelsea and Arsenal. The foundation is there, hopefully with that back 4 and with 11 on the pitch we can take the game to a naff Burnley side and get that win.
