  1. It always sticks in my mind for some reason, but when we were tonking Preston in the League Cup, at 6-0 up, in stoppage time, he was standing on the touchline still barking out orders. The bloke never stops, man. He's class.
  2. Brighton's training facilities compared to ours are an absolute joke, like.
  3. I think it's been mentioned that they'd probably cap ST sales at 44,000 and have the rest as corporates and obviously game-by-game sales.
  4. We owe a lot of this to these lads.
  5. Get in the bin with that gif, man.
  6. All we need is Palace to go down for it to be the ultimate perfect season.
  7. He's a complete idiot Ashley, but I genuinely think after AO.com he shat himself. He's landed on his feet with Rafa though and its win win win just letting him have control because he will never risk the club's money and will deliver tangible success. A few years under Rafa and I can see our commercial income increasing massively for example. Who knows we may even become a top football brand that could be sold for a huge profit... Think we've got to give gargantuan kudos to AO and SP. Without those two campaigns, fuck knows what state we'd be in now.
  8. Echoing what everyone else has said, fantastic news. The fact that we're celebrating seemingly being run like an actual football club shows what we've had to endure under Ashley but it is what it is.
  9. Turns out the correct answer was 2 days That French journalist has just said that they'll need to reach compromises or he'll go. We already knew this. s**** journalism.

    Champions!

This cunt has been on my Twitter timeline for fucking days now
  11. Don't fuck this up, Mike.
  12. Just watched a fan video in the away end at Hull in League Cup, Shelvey and Gayle in front of our fans after we scored Still gutted about that night, like.
  13. QPR away, has to be. Winning 0-6 away from home and being unlucky for it to not be more was just so un-NUFC I still have trouble believing it now. Special mentions Preston (h) in the League Cup, yes they had a man sent off in the first half at 1-0 but it was so blatantly obvious how better we were when it was 11v11. Some of the football we played was breathtakingly good and like QPR (a) it should've been 8 or 9-0. We were utterly dominant and we just completely took them apart from start to finish which is something I haven't seen from a Newcastle team, or any team at any level really, being so dominant. Norwich (h) as we should've been 3-0 or 4-0 up vs one of our nearest challengers at the time before they got a penalty, which was the first time they entered our box. They fluked a 1-3 lead and we all know the rest. Leeds (a) as the buildup about how brilliant Leeds were was dispelled with in 15 minutes and the only pressure they put on us was a few set pieces before half time. Gayle's second goal was pure sex. Birmingham (h) we were brilliant and should've won by more. Huddersfield (a) was just an absolute tactical masterclass from Rafa, he got that game completely spot on. Leeds (h) we all know the craic, typical NUFC but I believe that that was our best league home performance of the season.
  14. comments like that really bring it home. Gutted couldn't get two tickets together/take my lad. Sorry you couldn't get your bairn sorted with a ticket. But was mint, will stick in my mind as an NUFC supporter for a long time. The game was incredibly comfortable for us. I thought Barnsley played decent stuff in their first two thirds but did nowt to hurt us. Perez's goal was brilliant and he's been back to his best and incredibly enjoyable to watch again. Early on in the game the Strawberry Corner cheered and we didn't know why as both me and my dad couldn't get a signal on our phones but we heard that it was still 0-0 so I assumed that a Brighton player had been sent off or something so that was confusing. After 3-0 and Gayle's mint celebration (he's such a twat, love him ) I saw up in the L7 corner the fans up there going absolutely mental then their cheering spread through the stadium to the other side where we were (East Stand) and the atmosphere completely lifted again; it was really good for the first hour but went flat when news of Brighton's goal came through but lifted massively again after the cheer for Villa's goal and my phone was going mental from texts off my brother Just an incredibly good day to be an NUFC which we haven't had much of past few years. Ashley was there, stuck out like a sore thumb in the director's box and I've seen the photos of him and Rafa. Just don't fuck this up, man. Give Rafa what he wants and we'll have just as enjoyable days as yesterday and a whole lot more in the future.
  15. Just an all round class day. Was class being there with my dad. Here's to a mint 2017-18 everyone.
  16. Gutted for Hartlepool and Jeff, like. Hopefully they can bounce straight back.
