Same could be said for the summer transfer window though. He was given more resources than any of our challengers and he didn't use those resources to full effect. The signings of Lazaar, Sels and Hanley cost us a combined 13m. 13m that should have been spent on a #10 to balance out the squad. Maybe that's why they didn't back him in Janauary. Apparently we need 8 more points to confirm promotion, assuming Huddersfield win all their games, which they won't going off their recent form. If we win and Huddersfield draw tomorrow we'll need 4 more points. 3 more if they get beat. They have Fulham at home after Monday, who, after watching them when they bossed us at SJP, will be tough for them. We'll be fine, man. I'd renew it anyway, to be honest. He's worth another year and a squad member that we'll probably need at some point in the season. I like Anita tbph, been canny this season, 2 stinkers both against Fulham aside.

Promotion was confirmed prior to us kicking off at home to Sheffield United. We won at Peterborough before that.

I'll be staying after the final whistle against Barnsley and appreciating the manager and players for the first season I've relatively enjoyed in yonks. The trophy is too far though.
