Pre-Season 2018/19: Newcastle United 0 - 1 FC Augsburg (FT)

Canny, that run by Perez. -
We have a fantastic opportunity to do so due to the fixture list we were given. The run of games after Spurs running up to Liverpool (h) is a great opportunity to pick up wins; Huddersfield (a), West Ham (h), Swansea (a), Stoke (h), Brighton (a). Call me deluded or a blind optimist (which I am) but if we get a decent striker in, why the hell can't we get 5 wins there? Mind, at this rate in terms of getting a striker in, I'd take a point vs West Ham...
-
The blind optimist I am doesn't think we're done. Think we'll get this Correa or Perez and maybe a GK before August 31st.
-
Regarding your PS, he does. He's just a fucking creep.
-
What sort of striker does £12m get you these days? And who loans out decent number 10's? We're in for a long hard season. We may be able to negotiate Lucas Perez's fee to be lowered to that tbf.
-
. I'd see that as a decent window tbh. Would have loved a left-back but we can look at that again in January or next summer. That Karnezis we're apparently looking at, Lucas Perez, and getting that Correa on a similar deal to Merino. Let me dream.
-
Imagine the pace and precision in that front line Dwight Gayle would bang goals in for fun with that group around him. Merino and Shelvey sat behind. Would be a sneaky fun counter attacking team. If it happened, man.
-
Only some clubs have them. We thus far look like we aren't going to.
-
Some of the poses they have to do are fucking lifting, like.
-
I'm not bothered which we get, I'd take either one of them, as long as we actually got one of them.
-

That's from years ago yet still makes me laugh everytime I see it.
-
If we sign a decent striker, I'm going to say 13th. Never in any real trouble throughout the season. Start well as we have good fixtures August-November, tail off in December, and then just consolidate rest of the season with some home wins and points away at the s****.

Unfortunately I never got to see his team play, but I met him at the Aston Martin garage up near Beamish. I was only a really young bairn but I remember how nice of a man he was. So privileged to have met him.
-
Remember Arsenal fans not being happy about the way Perez was treat, like someone posted before, he scored a hattrick in the CL and was dropped the next game, and was never really given a chance. I certainly wouldn't be against going for him, or any of these La Liga players we've been linked with (Vazquez & Correa) who I would love to get but I can't see happening. Lucas Perez I can though.

I think so, going by the website. No clue when the deadline is, mind. Finally caved in to paying the train fares? Nothing showing as available to purchase on the website when logged in now. Not sure whether a bug or not on sale. Deadline may have passed, then. Last time I was on the option to buy a ST was still there, so, I've no clue.

I remember Perez missing a hatful of chances against QPR (h). Think it was onwards from that game he was decent. Your point still stands, like.
-
Only bother I've had with the box office is when I bought 2 tickets for the Preston cup game back in October and one arrived 1 week before the other. Never heard of owt like that.
-
A part of me is thinking they really could go down again. The signings they've made are shocking, a League One striker and Lewis Grabban up front, players who clearly don't want to be there, a midtable at best manager, an owner who wants out and currently a really negative atmosphere amongst the fanbase. They've also got a really difficult start; Derby (h), Norwich (a), Sheff Wed (a), Leeds (h). They start badly and the fans will turn on Grayson if he can't arrest a poor start and going by what they're saying on RTG, some of them are underestimating some of the teams imo. Organised teams like Fulham, Norwich et cetera would take them apart as of now.
