  1. Thanks for clarifying. FFS. Can't the army of Saudi lawyers find some sort of sell your own hotel to yourself clause we can take advantage of.
  2. How can we be this up against it? This would be the third window with very little movements regards to incoming players. We were chasing a 60-70 million centre half in July .
  3. Great in stretched games on the counter, especially if Gordon's knackered the full back out. As a starter he doesn't offer enough. Barnes needs space to run or cut into to . Otherwise he's a bit of a non entity . Doesn't really take people on , doesn't get in behind, doesn't have an incisive pass on him. I'd sell and reinvest the money if the offer was right. Otherwise I don't see him starting especially with the pressure etc that Eddie wants.
  4. I'm not saying I want a change of manager but Eddie needs to sort this out sharpish . Far too many games when we look absolutely clueless as to how break a team down and he just starts chucking subs at it. His read on trying to get us back into last night's match was way way off. This season Fulham, Wimbledon , Everton, Brighton and now West Ham have come away with decent results because we've not created or taken enough decent chances. Howe in the past has shown he's learned from his mistakes but this is a long standing problem that hasn't been solved or addressed. It's the arse end of November and we're coming into a key stage of the season. Eddie doesn't know his best 11. Still thinks Murphy can contribute something despite all evidence to the contrary. Hasn't been able to integrate Barnes and Tonali into the team and can't seem to get Gordon firing again, still crap on set plays and we're still very vulnerable through the middle on counters. Same problems lead to some of the same disappointing results. I'm hardly the most militant of supporters but it's starting to look like he doesn't know how to sort it and keeps doing the same things hoping players click and find form.
  5. Howe knows how to counter and setup against teams that want to attack and come out , if we don't score early against sides that sit in more and look to counter us his tactics are exposed. He made some bad calls the night , and as much as we can curse the momentum kill of the international break you could take the view he's had two weeks to get the side ready for this . West Hams tactics weren't exactly radically different from the Moyes era let Antonio hold it to give time for players to get out (although Paqueta was class the night). Hope Eddie's had a good look at things for Palace and Liverpool. As tonight is the sort of performance that if repeated a few times a season gets you sacked.
  6. If we get the Penalty it's a different game and I fancied us to go and win it .
  7. Howe got the first lot of changes wrong where he pushed Joelinton back onto the right and went to the two in midfield with a fading Gordon partnering Isak. As good as Barnes is as a countering attacking player he hardly commits people or takes people on when we're in possession. Meant we were outnumbered in the centre of the park and couldn't get a grip of things to enable us to push on. Then if you're bringing on Jacob Murphy at 0-2 you're totally out of ideas and fucked basically.
  8. Wish he'd catch them and take the Duncan Ferguson approach to home security.
  9. Ref's as bad as our set plays . Need Isak to link better and to get Gordon in the game . Also you can't tell me we can't the better of Yates
  10. Hall has come on so much defensively since the start of the season. Sakas on of the best players on the right side in world football and with Joelinton cutting the supply and doubling up we snuffed him out barring that one great ball from him late on for the Rice chance
  11. Brilliant day !! I was really critical of Eddie and felt he got it all wrong against Chelsea in the league. He managed today absolutely perfectly. Both full backs superb and could well be the starting pair for the next 10 years if they play like that. Gordon on the right was fantastic with a cracking ball ( why have we had to endure Murphy out there for so long) and the big Joe little Joe return has to be the way forward. Lucky longstaff does it again. HOWAY THE LADS !!!!
  12. Willock been absolutely cracking today. We've clearly missed him .
  13. Some ball that ! Gordon on the right doesn't work does it đŸ¤£
  14. Brave call by Howe as he'll get pelters if we don't perform . Hope big Joe and little Joe take advantage of the lack of Ben White . Howay The Lads !!
  15. Didn't Amorim do some sort of coaching apprenticeship under Mourinho at Manchester United ?
  16. Amorim is a hugely dynamic and potentially exciting appointment for Manchester United if it comes off. Highly rated and watched by several of the biggest clubs in the world. The caveats are he's only ever managed in Portugal and English football is completely different. The amount of managers that fail to understand the demands of our league is legion. Also it's a job that has seen off some of the most decorated managers in the game and is Amorim ready for that kind of scrutiny and pressure? It's very much a project signing that will need time, patience and a complete rebuild for it to truly to work. Expect the 3-4-3 diamond to become the in vogue formation if he is a success.

  18. Isn't he going to be knighted soon ? Manchester United would love a Sir Gareth. Hope so it would be hilarious, expert at throwing a game from a winning position, he'd get an easy ride from the media though.
