We've been far too respectful like we're playing one of the quality Manchester United teams of years gone by. Where's the aggression and intensity that's been the hallmark of our best performances this season. Murphy (and i know im banging on about him the night) had a lifetime to pick a ball out before and couldn't have played a better clearance if he was playing for the Red Devils. Gordon, Hall and Bruno only ones remotely near the levels they should be at . Needs changing at half time. Recently Eddie said that he finds it difficult to drop players who've done well for him . He needs to be more ruthless. Performances from certain repeat offenders get managers the sack . -

We've stepped right off Man Utd here. Keep dropping back into two banks and allowing them space to try and get their game together. -

Our passing has been awful . -
Great second half but why are we starting so many games poorly ? Awful early doors against Fulham , poor and never got going against Palace and today was like the lads had been doped.

We've not been at our best here by a long shot with an argument to say the tactics were wrong but the referee has been awful in the worst way . Got big decisions wrong and also guilty of the less referred to side of shit reffing (continuously being inconsistent and biased). -

How's that not a clear and obvious error? -
He's been there since 2019. Spent £600 million+. Qualified the same amount of times as Eddie Howe for the Champions League (ok he will this season) and won an Fa cup in his first season. If Arsenal go and win the league this season fair play I'm wrong but if Emery had the level of support Arteta had it might well have been a different story. If Liverpool only win the cup this year it'll be seen as an underachievement. Arsenal fans got on Wenger's back towards the end for doing better than Arteta has.
-
Also mad that we've humped Villa home and away this season
-
Arsenal under Arteta aren't strong enough mentally in the big moments and Arteta isn't brave enough tactically. He's a fair wind manager. Look at the carry on after we beat them . Look how tactically they struggled against us a few years ago when we had bloody Bruce and an immobile Carroll. They're flat track bullies when the game's against them he doesn't know how to change it. Time and again they make fundamental errors. Today they just had to defend the near post when the cross was coming in. Basics, if you've got the numbers back . When we beat them here all the fuss was was the ball out or not when the defender and the keeper could still have dealt with it.

Dan Ashworth (no longer working for Manchester United)
Keggy_Keagal replied to Rich's topic in Football
Illegal approaches and tapping up happen all the time, he's an asset employed by Newcastle United if Manchester United want him they have to pay what we ask. The only other way around it is the legal route but I can't see what avenue Manchester United could use in that instance. In theory Newcastle United could take action against Ashworth for not fulfilling the terms of his. -
Forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere but under current rules what's to stop PIF loaning the club £500 million for example and the club paying it back a pound a season or whatever ?

Didn't DOF Joe also cost Ashley money when selling Cabaye ? I'm sure I remember that prompted Ashley to get rid because Joe accepted a 25 million euro bid thought it was pounds and that's why it ended up being only £19 million .

He did (or prompted it indirectly with his "insomnia" moment ) sign good servants in Kevin Nolan , Ryan Taylor and Peter Lovenkrands. His interview with Talksport (2013?) I think he was showing signs of being in the stages of dementia he was making really bizarre statements.
