  1. Barton's absolute scum, I've filed him in the professional hatefully objectionable wankers who just say whatever poisonous thing that will give them the most press coverage or social media exposure. They should never be mentioned or discussed again . Denying him the exposure he craves as he builds his hateful gobshite brand. My last post on this waste of sperm and egg.
  2. A few are still off their faces on eggnog I see
  3. Eddie Howe has been brilliant. We're undergoing a difficult run of form and it's shown up some of his mistakes. Mainly issues regarding substitutions, player rotation and the main one for me that im seeing a lot of that never used to be a problem is game management/control of matches. Im still confident he'll address it and im also confident we'll smash thr mackems and be smiling come the end of the season . Howay The Lads !!!
  4. Absolutely awful defending here. Forest have just played the breaks with pace and Wood has been incredible with his finishing. Big half hr needed here . Howay the lads

    Dan Burn

He's been poor the day . Getting done for pace again and again. Eddie should have changed him at half time
  6. We've seen nothing but excellent decisions from the owners and the board regarding football matters. There hasn't been the slightest suggestion that they are anything but 100% behind Howe and the staff. The talk of the likes of Mourinho being lined up as a replacement is entirely press generated by journalists with no track record of being close to those who are in a position to make that decision. Howe's made some mistakes this season, and we've had a bad performance the day but we've also had some desperately unlucky moments in huge games. We'll get past this, we've a brilliant manager who has worked wonders in such a short time that some people are losing their sense of balance. Support the team and the people who've already brought us some magical moments. This is the time to be United. Howay The Lads !!
  7. As poor a performance as ive seen under Howe this. We've looked absolutely knackered and the confidence looks shot. Occasionally when we manage to play a bit of football we look like we can get in but we just don't seem able to sustain passages of play. Screaming out for subs for us to try and bring some freshness and legs to the side.
  8. Cant fault the effort, football can be so cruel and we've been punished the night. Love Joelinton and his performance tonight was incredible. Think the change of Burn coming in seemed to disrupt our defence rather than stabilise it. Thanks for the memories lads. Did so well to get here and were screwed by a shite decision and that made tonight shit or bust. The outcome somehow seems typical Newcastle. Proud of the team nonetheless. Howay the lads !!!
  9. Rewatch the Bruce games if you're going to say shite like that man, we were poor the day but at 0-0 we still created chances and the players looked like they knew what they were at least supposed to be doing.
  10. Looking at silver linings, Howe is a learner, so hopefully when we're in Europe in future (and we will be, let that soak in, regular European football, how far away did that seem a few years ago) this situation won't be repeated.
  11. Howe's inexperience at this level has been shown up somewhat. We've been found out by the refusal to rotate earlier in the season. This month when decimated by injuries we've not been able to . The way we play ( which i love) is a high intensity pressing game and you simply cannot do that week in week out with this volume of matches and not see drop offs in performance. That being said we've had moments against both Everton and tonight at Spurs which in a different day could have gone our way and changed the course of the games. Not quite onboard with the criticism of Joelinton, I'm seeing a fella desperately trying to make things happen but both he and the rest of the team is fucked and experiencing a bit of a drop in confidence. Miggy has been awful mind and even Livramento cant get a read on the Spurs attack .
  12. Aye they did brilliantly considering most had asthma.
  13. Players have had a real off night. Everton the better team worked hard and outplayed us. Trippier has had a shocker. It happens to most players from time to time. Tactically and physically we weren't at it and the few half chances we got we didn't take or get the bounce of the ball. Then when Everton scored we lost it mentally. A bad night but Eddie often learns from them. We've got to look at our away form and also have to get Isak into game more. Howay the lads.
  14. Dyche is like a ginger seal wanting a fish in his gob
  15. I'll do it myself then https://twitter.com/i/status/1731110577873776765
  16. Trippier being top drawer isn't new, but his reading of the game is at times supernatural. Also, someone needs to put the clip of the corner flag nutmeg moment.
  17. McTominay is put into the Manchester United midfield to give them a physical presence , then he met Joelinton who bodied him.
  18. HBA was always a player you had to allow free reign and in essence build a side to accommodate him. That doesn't really cut it in modern football when the likes of Messi in his pomp would still work for the side. To be fair to Hatem you did see him in games do a bit of graft but Pardew never seemed to give him a moments credit for it, a cleverer manager may well have been able to build on those moments and hopefully integrate those into his game more. He was far too often treated like our joker. Team in the shit, need to get summat out the match Pardew would send on Ben Arfa, sometimes he'd make something happen, then still be on the bench ,other times he wouldn't, so he'd still be on the bench, and often Obertan would be in ahead of him, incredibly frustrating for a tremendously gifted player. Barring that short period when it was HBA, Cisse and Ba, Pardew didn't have the first clue really on what to do with him. Which lead to Ben Arfa trying to throw a fridge at him I believe. As other said many times such a shame he never got to work with KK or Sir Bobby, you only have to look at his time at NIce to see what he could do to transform a team with a progressive coach.

    Fabian Schär

Every time I see a player thread near the top of the page Iately I have to look to make sure they've not been in a bizarre gardening accident
  20. Cracking captain , going over to defend the players. That's exactly the sort of character you want and need at the club .
  21. Bit harsh on them both. If a certain player didn't have a gambling addiction Loongstaff would have been fresher or not even playing the night. Willock's still coming back from a serious injury layoff and as far as I can remember this was his first start .
  22. Beaten by the better , more seasoned team on the night. We changed things after going a goal down, had a go and came up short. Good experience for a lot of the players and for Eddie who seems to learn from every defeat. Ref was good, just didn't quite get the luck we needed and of course hampered by lack of options due to injuries and fatigue. No shame , they gave their all. Howay the lads !!
  23. You can have all the stats you want Joelinton was absolutely class in that game last night .
