  1. They were criticised for it aswell tbf
  2. yeah lb in particular is the first place I’d look to strengthen. Then cm or cb. Not saying we shouldn’t go after a forward but we atleast have Wilson in that position even if he is injury prone.
  3. if we could get Bielsa I’d still want him.
  4. Not saying we couldn’t do better but I just want it on the record we’d be higher up the league table with him (Keegan) than Bruce.
  5. Seems to have done a good job at Ajax. Certainly wouldn’t complain but I don’t would prefer Rangnik.
  6. “Newcastle used to be well-organised and well-drilled,” says a rival coach. “But it isn’t the same now. The detail isn’t there.” With Benitez, the specifics were everything and that was how he maximised resources. Bruce’s relaxed approach was initially welcomed and, for a time, just about worked. Perversely, a player at a Champions League side privately remarked that he found Newcastle the “hardest team to play against” last season. It was a compliment and a criticism, referencing Newcastle’s lack of apparent structure. He was unsure Newcastle players were carrying out a clear game plan, so he found it difficult to know how to combat them.
  7. Funny bit in The Athletic, an anonymous player from a champions league team, saying we were the most difficulty to play against. There was so little structure they didn’t know what to expect or how toplay against us. Completely supports the theory of “luck”.
  8. Tbh, it would be good for the game to bring in some regulation that drastically alters the game. Just not this. We need 50 plus one and spending cap regulations which allows more competition through out the leagues. It should be the case that a well run club should be able to compete for the league with in a few years. Obviously this happened with Leicester but we all know that was an anomaly, equally clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool plus who ever else should be just as likely candidates for the drop.
  9. Wait. Another day off? Even after we looked completely fucked by 60 minutes against a Tottenham team in first gear.
  10. Interesting how we were being talked down to over Project big picture proposals, now they’re shit scared. Aye we still might be relegated again even this year but the point still stands. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/parry-project-big-picture-newcastle-19195260.amp
  11. Bust ups are quite common aren’t they? Think Rafa used to encourage it if he felt players weren’t pulling their weight, especially at Valencia I think Ayala was well known for it.
  12. Lascelles trying the same trick on Hayden that he did on Diame.

  14. I’m worried most of the names thrown about seem to be managers who were big names as players. Like they automatically think because they’re star names, that will translate in to the completely different discipline of management. We all know that isnt the case. Also indicates they barely have even the most basic football knowledge.

    Joelinton

Tottenham seemed to gain momentum after his first misplaced pass around six minutes.
  16. if that’s true, then it’s a no-brained the owners have to go and get him and if Amanda is reading this (she has said she reads fan forums) go and get him it’s the best decision you’ll ever make and you might aswell make it early on. the bloke will set up our academy, facilities and processes to be the best in the world.
  17. Neville and Carragher have been some of the most positive about the takeover. If they’re defending Bruce, it’s because he’s a pfm.
  18. I think it’s more about “the big six”.
