    Alan Shearer

Ugh Shearer in that, man. Sticking up for Bruce. “Rafa very clever in getting fans onside”. saying, very little between them in terms of points and finishes. Etc yada yada yada.
  2. By the way for those things Wondering who Al Qahtani is; well the answer is a complete wrongun https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saud_al-Qahtani
  3. You’d have to imagine so. I was arguably the pledge’s biggest supporter on here but by the time they’ve raised three million for the 1%, the 1% will be valued around 10 million.
  4. Tbh I’d prefer him to stay. If he’s here we can atleast challenge him.
  5. From a quick glance at his Twitter I haven’t seen anything to suggest he hates NUFC.
  6. You should go and get Rangnik. A klopp/ Rangnik would be the best possible management structure in football I’d imagine. Could be like bootroom 2.0
  7. any idea why he is stepping down?
  8. Just because “ questioning players and coaches about the actions of the owners” hasn’t been done before doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be done( although maybe it has?) For me fans absolutely can take blame on this but actually I think players and managers have more responsibility on this issue. In the vast majority of these cases they already are very wealthy, and have a number of other clubs to choose from. Pep absolutely has the power to come out and say “ I’m not going there because of human rights abuses”. For fans I think we can also boycott but it’s a bit different. We’ve supported Our club for many years before the Saudi’s. It’s where we get our sense of community. For some it’s something that has been passed down through four/five maybe more generations. There’s one club for us, but many players /coaches. They also are held with higher status and esteem than your ordinary fan, and particularly in the modern age many see themselves as activists, yet they’ll take money from anyone? And they shouldn’t be questioned on that, but say your average Newcastle fan should? I don’t think that’s right. see you can’t conflate Ashley and the Saudi’s. Ashley is a horrible bastard, but the Saudi’s are many times worse. Same goes for the others, and just because Sheffield United’s owners are Saudi doesn’t mean they are responsible for human rights abuses. They’re Saudi, but they’re not actually the state. We are the state.
  9. why should they be separated? They’re as complicit as us fans, and We’ve had criticism(rightly so). Why should Eddie or. pep or Poch be spared from criticism same as Messi, Neymar, De Bruyne or anyone else that plays for a state backed club used for sports washing, or anyone from any other sport like Joshua or Hamilton?
  10. They’re sports journalists so they would. Don’t get me wrong though the government absolutely should be getting more criticism than us.
  11. To be fair there’s absolutely nothing wrong with them pushing for an answer on an important topic. People shouldn’t be so defensive.
  12. Saw Shola was there too. Looking quite dapper
  13. That looked really intense
  14. When Bruce says “ I’m creating space”, he means for desert..
  15. know what you mean. I’m glad he’s around and we’ve needed him at times to push back against narratives, but sometimes but the way he cozies up to us sometimes is a little nauseating. Wouldn’t say I dislike him but I would have more respect if he was a bit more objective. Is he like this with fans of all clubs?
  16. Looks like Shola’s about to get a mentor
  17. Apparently during his time off he went to Atletico Madrid to learn under Simeone.
  18. Love the idea of players now actually having to work hard and do some training, but can we stop with this fetishisation of getting them in at 6:30? Let the lads sleep.
  19. Not sure about that. Wilson is very good though.
  20. Still think this is the strongest so far lyrics would only need some slight alterations
  21. Oh definitely. The problem was it wasn’t really ethical? In the sense they were just hoovering players up that could have come through somewhere else. Be interesting to see his level of patience with head coaches, without Roman pulling the trigger every two seconds. Also wonder how Brexit would affect this sort of strategy.
  22. is it the result of racism? I mean we do that with all races, rightly or wrongly.
  23. Hmm. Think I’d go for Rangnik, Emanolo, Campos, Herrera, Edwards in that order.
  24. Such a shame how little we’ve seen of Tony Green
