  1. There's no point comparing us to another football club or trying to understand what's happening here through that prism - unless its Blackpool. Other owners become a problem when they lose interest. Ours never had any. Imagine if Lerner diverted the money spent on Villa merch to one of his other companies and covered Villa Park with adverts for his other companies without paying a penny for it - over a 12year period. And that's just the tip when it comes to this Ashley geezer.
  2. I don't think the Asians or Russians have had a go, does the Arctic have and Billionaires yet ? Comes to something when they're running out of bullsh*t. I think they've tried the Chinese one already. Summer 2017. Was totally made up. At least the last one had some quotes at the other end. So Russia next. Then after that I wonder if they do a Howard Beale and admit "I've just run out of bull sh*t" or is it like a penalty shoot-out where we go back to the first taker? So Barry Moat for next summer.
  3. Its sooo not happening that we could have a sweepstake on when the 'in the best interests of the club we've called a halt to takeover talks' line comes out. The day Rafa's contract expires is a good shout but a little soon re the transfer window.
  4. Well there will be some further fakeover news Sunday to cover over anything Rafa has to say. Knowing this lot, I'd expect nothing less.
  5. Sounds like our boy. Apart from the bit about him being well endowed. His behaviour indicates the exact opposite. In Freudian or Jungian terms, he's a c**t, is what it comes down to.
  6. That's not going to happen for him. The clubs value has peaked and its only downhill from here because the last thing he'll do is invest (the clubs money mind) into maintaining where it is much less improving. Since promotion it has been his best chance to sell and he still clearly doesn't want to. In the other circumstances mentioned, we'd have been better off starting a new club. If that had happened 10years ago you wouldn't be that surprised if it turned MA-NUFC over in a cup tie.
  7. They should ask the Charlton and Coventry (Blackpool, Rangers, Blackburn formerly) equivalents to get involved - strength in numbers. Its pretty obvious but I can't trust them.
  8. The BZG group made its statements in response the media and fan speculation after the story was leaked. That scenario exists now with the Rafa situation being a major factor, the outcry thereafter and the near total doubt of any sale. Even the other interested parties should consider breaking cover in this situation. Hypothetically, because there aren't any in this instance or any of the previous ones.
  9. At least that prick Luke Edwards is well and truly outed as an Ashley stooge and as such a non-football person. He can f off and die too.
  10. Its a lot more likely to be relegated which should effect its value - but also, is an excuse for nothing to get done take/fakeover wise. The value is just going down from here on in. Bet he doesn't factor that in. Once the season starts, anybody that's in, will pull out for fear of buying a championship club to be. Bring it on as we have to get rid of him.
  11. and obviously there's not a cat in hells chance the manager of Bournemouth would leave them to come to Mike Ashley's NUFC. There's more chance of us even trying to get someone like him - but that's still zero chance on its best day.
  12. Was that him that was on the panel discussing the Staveley attempts to buy? He was preaching the 'better the devil you know' line and going on about how her group was the problem here, got a few jeers for that and gave the impression he just doesn't get it. So ideal for sports journalism then. Especially up here.
  13. Its neverbeen on since the 'every penny generated' lie. 4 at best since then. Obviously its all over now. Fully expected it. Expected ramifications from an outraged support and felt okay with that because the most pertinent thing is getting rid of the owner. Yet its even worse than we expected, worse than the bare minimum, worse that nothing. Worse that having a manager and striker who aced their remit both of whom want to say, both of whom are easily affordable. Allowed to leave. Its the smokescreen takeover, the being lied to, yet again, the effort the club goes to to lie to its own patrons and disguise to the gullible in the football world that its not as bad as it is. That's scooped a new low.
  14. Just regarding the afforementioned concept of installment payments - they put out through the ssn lackey that they would take installments during the Staveley 'negotiations' so keen were they apparently to get a deal done - why not apply it here, if that's the case. And what of these others interested parties? Lies #5125 and #5126 The FA/PL are beginning to be complicit in this if it is a scam. Either way its having a massively detrimental effect on a football club. They should let it be known, without divulging details or even what stage things are at, simply whether they have recieved attempts to buy the club and a deal is being persued or that they have not. They should not allow themselves to be used, though I doubt they care (Blackpool, Bolton) for propaganda against football fans. (that's skys job)
