  1. Fleetwood, or whoever it is, can pull it off in their own little way. But this is third tier with a ground too big for the britches on their best day. Level finding hubris c*nts
  2. That doesn't really make it better surely, just calls attention to the fact its not
  3. God that's Pitiful or pitiunful
  4. Sounds like classic bullshit to make it look like you're onto something to scam your way by - like Strachan and his unmarried players, Poyet with his mystical identification of the mackems problem, Johnson with his clocks. Its so obviously bullshit when you look at it objectively.
  5. Anybody mentioned Pac, the wrestler.? Well then Pac, the wrestler.
  6. Awww doing a little flag display again. Who'd have thought all the while they apparently bemoaned, attacked and cringed at ours these past five months their inferiority complex genes were triggered and they were actually being eaten alive with jealousy?
  7. Not sure if its the thread for this but think we need to think about rapping Hey Jude in since I heard it playing at Arsenal and Brentford on MotD this weekend. Gone a bit mainstream now. Big River wouldn't be able to be replicated.
  8. Think if was this time in 1994 when the Hall ownership revealed plans for the same site. There's still hope yet.
  9. I think Everton will do Chelsea next week, bit like us and Man United and also the Lampard-Chelsea story. Burnley must beat Watford.
  10. The best atmosphere I'd been in maybe until Man United in 95/96 - and there were lots of fantastic ones in between. We'd played well iirc but became conscious of time with 20' to go and started to doubt it more every minute, I was mostly in the camp of 'its not going to happen',by the time it did. For what its worth Robocop2 has its sky premiere that night. Always remember having it taped as was staying at a mates house that night.
  11. Possibly Andy Cole. After a blistering start with us he was a joke for Man United his first couple years there (why does Cantona wear his collar up, its dirty from carrying Cole all season), cavalcade of Sunday league misses, Man U hack Steve Curry acknowledging on the back page they'd "snap your hands off for their money back". Guess he came good in the end. Maybe McCoist. Way more go the other way though.
  12. Gamesmanship and sh1thousery Media: Filthy hun weasels, fighting their dirty underhand war! Lampard, Big Sam, Bruce dreck gamesmanship and sh1thousery Media: Splendid fellows, brave heroes risking life and limb for Blighty!
  13. Lampard just been congratulated for his "great gamesmanship" by an interviewer.
  14. Pickford getting "sad mackem bastard" off them now. Must be broken at how many times he's comes a croper, luckily being a mackem he can just pretend it didn't happen, until the next self inflicted humiliation.
  15. WIth the little Everton sporadically show, what Burnley are doing and Leeds with new management...... we were so f8cking relegated with Bruce like
  16. They don't have a keeper of Sly Stallones calibre either
  17. Both times I've thought that about some creep on that thread its panned out like that. Secret Visage's previous 15 posts when I checked them out - 3 were about his club. 2 nothing to do with football. 10 about NUFC. Including a post about Elliott Anderson on loan at Bristol Rovers which warranted a third of the attention he had given his own club lately.
  18. Everton are one of those that needs five or six aggressive flushes to be done with. Horrible feeling were only on handle pump number 4. So much mackem in them
  19. Fancied him for a good game today, tearing at them as they chased a lead initially or leveller thereafter, but we were so on top after we went ahead it never turned out to be that sort of game.
  20. Paints the impression that his entire management career has been predicated on fortune/misfortune rather than his ability to do the job. Which would be accurate
  21. Selling himself uncustomarily short there, having absolutely bucked the trend in results. Much like Eddie Howe, on a completely unrelated matter.
  22. Down to 13th, two teams behind him have a game in hand. I'd like 14th. A nice round, easy to remember 10 place drop since he arrived. Going through a close season knowing you're sticking with the bloke who did that is a little taste of how we felt.
  23. I make you right. I look back on 91/92 fondly lot more so than the previous season where we finished a lot higher, for the reasons you outline.
  24. Wasn't even supposed to bring goals
