Honestly who would give a f*** though if the club was moving in the right direction, if this Dell owner is part of the group (and by all accounts he is) and is prepared to put money in they certainly soon will be. Nobody. Its just thats what they come out with when were involved in 'fakeovers'. It wont be applied now.

Its not all good news for them. There were plenty stating how if we'd been bought by BZG we'd have had no soul, be plastic, how its not real football, far better to remain a small time community outfit. They'll be gutted now.
  3. However, it doesn't really matter because whoever the manager is the club under Ashley. If we sacked and replace Bruce we might stay up but overall it makes no difference. If we sack and replace them, no difference. Ashley is the problem, Bruce meerely embelishes that where Rafa deflected it.
  4. I know, I thought Watford - a must win that we won't win, in a toxic atmosphere was going to be THE game. Perhaps the one and only time Bruce will prove us wrong.
  5. Cook books versus the Cooked books Cook versus the Crook Farke versus Farke off you numpty Norfolk versus Norfolk-ing point
  6. Lets call it "Jack Lester" Many of the type that refuse to boycott, I have a feeling, are the types that don't bother with these games anyway.
  7. Compare Arsenal's support today to Manchester City's then. Tells a different story. Man City only brought about 1k.
  8. Aye, if you're blindly going to 'support the team, not the regime" - provide some actual support. Its a kick in the teeth. Least the results just dont matter any more.
  9. Because Wise said so, to stick it up Rafa and PR defence against fan decent.
  10. If you're going to blindly 'support the team, not the regime' at least support the team ffs.
  11. Remember when we brought Beardsley back? This is the opposite of that.

They were a BNP target seat were they not, and they got strong results there, think the boss person ran there, wouldn't do that if he didnt fancy his chances? They must spend so much time thinking about us and researching archived chronicles and football history books to explain their lack of self-awareness.
  13. Tonto. Loved the randomness of it at times. Not when we were on top and not when we were struggling all of a sudden, you'd hear it. Definitely spent some time towards the back of the East Stand, towards the Leazes.
  14. That's the natural response surely. That you can't invest in something, especially a sport/competition, you know the figurative horse you're backing isn't trying to win or even do well. Or be a fan, which is all about hope that one day, one day, when you know, utterly know, their never will be a 'one day' under this owner, because it is against policy. Sabotage.
  15. Got it for my birthday last year, definitely had tears welling but often of pride. There was this moment against Man City in 01/02 when Keegan came back, got a great ovation of course and rightly so, the crowd sung "There's only one Kevin Keegan" and after a few verses it morphed into "There's only one Bobby Robson" and slightly louder. (Intend to watch again soon now I remind myself of it) Given that his choice to come in as an understudy was Mourinho. That might have worked out for us. But Abramovich arrived, Porto win the champions league and the rest is history. My main motivation for maintaining a season ticket for that year was that it would be Sir Bobby's last year. He deserved a proper thank you...and it would have been awesome.
  16. The bloke who would be to blame won't put his cowardly little name to it. Played football how he advises - snidely and cowardly.
  17. Kinnear probably has the best record of the lot of them. Which says a lot. He did better at Wimbledon than any of the rest of them have managed anywhere bar McClown once a Boro, with healthy financial backing admittedly. Wimbledon under Kinnear were never near getting relegated. Carver's the worst. Not one of them had any business managing NUFC and here we are, Tony Pullis away from completing the set.
  18. Then we've got to go. Get him out of our lives.
  19. Initially he'll have to take less out to put more in and try and regain PL status/funding. On top of less money coming in. Which he won't like. Should it fail - he'll have to do the same again, could resort to selling players but that won't help the cause. Getting to the point where it costs him money. Its when it stops being a cash cow for him that he'll sell, for a much lower price. Or keep on losing money. Really since he decided not to sell to Stavely/Kenyon/BZG its been the beginning of a ever decreasing downward spiral. That was really my main hope that he would sell, that he seen what was coming.
  20. He is good. Not sure many others could attack the dispicable owners of other clubs than their own, the way he does. At the Boro game in the championship after the stadium naming carry-on he intro'd the show with "welcome to St James Park, or to give its official title, St James Park". Formula 1 has been absolutely sh********t since he left it too.
  21. Bruce signed Bramble. Twice!!!!
  22. I go along with that. It gives people a chance to technically continuing to follow the team whilst still boycotting, to get any cravings out of their system and still continue to be a fan. Could even work as a stark contrast to the home crowd. Should be made clear that there is no super-fan points on offer for this. This isn't going when the team is bad, club is struggling, we've all done that.
  23. They've clearly spent weeks coming up with something that is vaguely believable when coupled with Ashley's "oim just a normal flawed bloke" routine. Not surprising if it's swallowed by those only keeping one eye on the situation, but utterly depressing that there are actual fans of the club that stlll haven't realised the only consistent behaviours with this bloke are deceit and self interest. Any excuse not to make a difficult decision. Agree. I'm so so far away from the train of thought of those people that I find myself wanting the club to burn tbh. People paying Ashley are paying to destroy the club, so they deserve to see it disintegrate before their very eyes. It's what they've paid for after all. Getting like Wimbledon and MK Dons isn't it?
  24. He is but we've a sh*t squad. On account of the owner.
  25. Dunno. Dunno what to believe, but if this is true then we can infer that the group Caulkin knows about haven't made a bid. Unless it's been sat on the table all this time. You'd tend to think Caulkin was making it up but the other side of the story is from a liar who pays a lie making machine to lie for him. Safe bet is it was never for sale so it wouldn't matter who was interested, made up people, not made up people, its all the same. Just so many lies around the club.
