  1. New messiah did ye say? Jesus Jones it is then. Personally keeping us up for the takeover and showing Bruce up is the only good that can come of it for me though. Anybody keeping this thing ticking over as is is not for me.
  2. Couldn't bring himself to add the context that its not easy under Ashley for any manager. Hardly going to upset his sugar-daddy by speaking the truth. Yet without that context I'd say Keegan and Sir Bobby p*ssed it so either its 'under Ashley' or only the s**t ones find it hard. Expectation is such a chore when you're hell-bent on being ambitionless as a club and a manager that is unable to attain anything. It also smokes out their motives. Expectations have never been lower at this club and yet they're still offensively high to these parasites and this complete c**t of a manager.
  3. Barely a football club. Yep, impossible to try and understand what that entity is through the prism of 'football club' Every other football club tries its best, we try to do the absolute least. One of these things is not like all the others. To me its just a scam - Ashley, Ameobi, Charnley, Bruce and now Jones milking money none of them have any business getting off something other people built. They actively hate people that want to move the club forward and one-of-our-own-Bruce is fully indoctrinated in it. If it prosper none dare call it treason Our appointments are comparable to a third division club with no money: Bruce - Grayson Jones - Johnson
  4. Wasn't a pile of Lettuce he meant was it, not 'letters'? Its not hard to imagine Bruce (Director of Steve's) not knowing the difference between cabbage and lettuce.
  5. Disgusting club. Ashley can abuse it how he wants and any dissent is barred and so little is said of it. Sounds too much like business as usual to me also, got me thinking about what's do be done.
  6. Incidentally had some decent hits back in the day, including one based on our expected goals under Bruce called "Zeroes and Ones"
  7. Jesus Jones (overseer of Steve's) is coming, quick everyone look busy.
  8. I remember hearing years ago that it was a bet that Ashley could make money through owning a club. Makes sense. He then fell out with the fanbase and developed a hate/contempt for the whole region, so IMO he now has 2 aims, making money and keeping a cloud of misery over the club. Does he actually hate the club, fans, area - to the degree we always think? With the greatest respect I've always thought that's something our fanbase have kept on telling ourselves. Always thinking the worst of him, portraying him as some bond villain that's going out of his way to f*** us over at whatever financial/reputational cost. Obviously won't have any love for the club/fans, but whilst countless decisions have obviously f***ed us over to varying degrees, our suffering under him is a (un)happy coincidence. The decisions he makes, and his general ownership are born through incompetent/clueless rather than malevolence and hatred for the fans, and end of the day his financial standing/investment. I just can't buy that anybody could be that inept. Kinnear, McLaren, Bruce, relegating a team that was never in a relegation battle, joke training ground - for 13 solid years. Even if you were that inept after that amount of time you'd have learned. Its not inept that we've an embarrassing training ground and no board. Ashley benefits from those things to the same tune NUFC loses. No money for training ground - hurts the club, money for Ashley. No board - hurts the club, money for Ashley. Cheap lackey managers - hurts the club, money for Ashley. Sell land around the ground - hurts the club, money for Ashley. Its more like sabotage than ineptitude, maybe via sheer greed rather than as a plan from the start but sabotage is the ultimate outcome.
  9. Id loved it, when fans are let back in the stadium, that someone absolutely sparks this t*** out! Sheffield United/Wilder winning at Old Trafford and Newcastle/Bruce losing at home to Leeds are the same thing now?
  10. Sheffield United 6points in 3games. 4 wins in all comps this month. 2 league wins in 3. Bruce 5points in 9games. 4 wins in all comps since September. 2 league wins since November 1st.
  11. Steve Bruce: “It was much more like it tonight. “I was very very pleased, on another day we could have won the match. “We will have to stay positive, it’s difficult, course it is,because it is now whatever it is, five without a win in the Premier League." Is he so stupid and/or incompetent that he doesn't know its 11 without a win and 9 in the Premier League (double his estimate) or is he having a sly lie to cover how poor his performance has been? The esteem I hold him in it could easily be one or or the other or both and is basically exactly what I take him for. You can imagine the analysis that goes into our opponents and our own games when you have only the vaguest idea about your own recent and current bad run.
  12. People are actually hyped over that performance?! My God I give Bruce all the credit he deserves for 11 games without a win that comprises one good half and 21 very poor ones amidst a league season of 0 other good performances and an 18month streak of 95% awful football. I can't say fairer than that. Bravo Bruce. Exceptions and rules being distorted. I'd love to distort Edwards face.
  13. I find its easier to want us to lose when its so often absolutely what we deserve. If we played well and were the better team for once I may feel different but watching the other team play football and us play whatrever the f**k this brutal wretch is, and the other team being distinctly the more deserving, its just justice being done and I can't complain when its such a fair cop, we just cant argue with the opposition fan as to who the better team was or when they accuse of being s**t anymore.
  14. Just back on the Jones thing, I think its chief token quango employee Charnley's connections stretching from as far afield as York (McLaren) all the way up to Corbidge. Covering messrs Ameobi, Carver and Jones. And probably little more than that. This is SDFC version of Boro bringing in Venables to work with Bryan Robson. Smallest thinking club in the world and it needs razed. *Also "endorses" as correctly pointed out, endorses, concurs, accepts - course he does, that's what he's here for. There's probably nothing Ashley could do to him that he wouldn't 'endorse', he might even feel humiliated, but he'd never say so, can't expect to be respected if you dont respect yourself.
  15. Text book Ashley though. Seems to have a fetish for failed championship managers, lately specifically of Sheffield Wednesday. And no compensation with this one.
  16. Brace yourself for the covid excuse after losing comfortably to a team that's had a more recent covid outbreak.
  17. Figuratively rather than literally that could be absolutely anybody. Except Darlow.
  18. Yes. His media mates too. Wont be listening to any of the vapid cretins but at least some of them will re-state this case over the weekend now.
  19. Points out that Rafa finished 10th, thinks he's doing as good a job, absolutely no chance of finishing 10th, that's wor Brucie.
  20. One of the many reasons Rafa is and will forever be far more appreciated by fans here is that he isn't tw*t Bruce. What a wretchedly pathetic, sad, small, bitter, hate filled, c*ntly thing to say. - Nice bloke!? Hate myself for ever feeling sorry for him (only a few fleeting seconds here and there mind) on a personal level. Abysmal football aside, he really is an absolute c**t. Going to be the most hated manager in the club history and brought it all on himself
  21. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/steve-bruce-son-newcastle-united-19675601.amp?__twitter_impression=true Those difficult fixtures included the easiest possible fixture any team could ask for in the league this season and the performance was horrendous. And Sheffield United is pretty much the game being he's being most judged on - which is so favourable to Bruce that the next best thing would be to always praise him regardless. We've played everybody this season. Throw in lower league Blackburn, Newport and Brentford and we've been horrible to watch in all of them, second best in nearly all of them and massively second best on more regular basis than any team should accept. We've gone backwards in every measure and are now noted for as being the most horrific team to watch. Its not those selective games he's being judged on but I take it that's the new mantra now that the 'better than Rafa' one has vanished without mention.
  22. Exactly the f***ing same. No doubt there'll be identical quotes you could dig up from Sunderland etc. Worth remembering, Dean Smith, a manager who had only managed Walsall and Brentford took over from him, with the squad he had in that league, won 11 matches in a row, and took us from the arse end of the table to play off victory (including a semi final against Albion, a fixture Bruce would have bottled) and promotion I remember the match against Preston, which we drew 3-3, and Glen Whelan missed a 94th minute penalty - genuinely not joking, pretty much every one of us was hoping Whelan would miss because it would have finished Bruce off, and it did. An entirely unremarkable player who is remembered with utter fondness by our fans because he was the person who knocked the last nail into the Bruce coffin. Brummie, I say it quite often. If Bruce is as good as the pundits suggest he is, how f**king great must Dean Smith be yet he gets a fraction of the praise from what I see. Not just because Villa are better in every way shape and form than us right now but because they literally had the same tools to work with and Smith has achieved every remit, where Bruce failed.... and had a cabbage thrown at him. You must be as deluded as we are of course, is the only explanation.
  23. This. Basically at the battered spouse level now. How's the battered grouse did ye say?
  24. See the look of disgust and anger on his face, after interrupting the question, that the sub-human reporter/human had the brass neck to try and finish his sentence and the question. Like it was beyond rude not to shut up the second Bruce butted in.
  25. Since he's going to be doing things his way from now on, all the lavish praise heaped on him by his media mates and NUFC trolls has been proven to be cretinous. It should have been Ashley, Charnley or Wise that should have been getting that praise all along or maybe even Rafa.
