  1. Based on pre-season they play a strict 3-4-3 and will come here looking for a 0-0 draw or a 1-0 win. Don’t think it’s a bad idea to start Trippier, Burn and Willock in this game. 433: Pope, Trippier, Schär, Burn, Hall, Willock, Bruno, Joelinton, Murphy, Isak, Gordon Trippier and Willock in for creativity.
  2. Based on your negotiation skills a fee of £50m would be more realistic.
  3. All the stats from last season is irrelevant. He’s for sale, they get an injury-prone player of the wage bill, Manchester United are stupid enough to pay the fee and they already have well-established players at the club who can play at centre back. It’s a perfect sale. You make it sound like he’s prime Paolo Maldini when in reality even a 34-years old Daley Blind will start games before him in the Dutch national team
  4. As I said, they are selling him because they don’t need him, he’s a backup on a high wage and they already have other options in his position.
  5. https://www.goal.com/en/lists/erik-ten-hag-matthijs-de-ligt-transfer-swoop-man-utd-misstep-bayern-munich-defender-backwards-since-leaving-ajax/blt80793dba77e38ff2
  6. They are selling him because they don’t need him, he’s a backup on a high wage and only Manchester United are stupid enough to pay big to get him to the club. Kim Min-jae is their best centre back.
  7. Interesting to see how two injury-prone Bayern rejects will improve the team.
  8. They need to buy 7-8 former Ajax players first before they can compete.
  9. He did the last 10 minutes of the game. Krafth just ran out of the pitch when they had a throw-in and didn’t come back.
  10. Where will he fit in ten Hag’s 4-2-3-1 then? The vision at the start of last season was Fernandes and Mount in twin No 8 roles in a 4-1-4-1 formation, with Casemiro as a defensive midfielder. They won 1-0 but a lack of control in midfield was a concern, with Wolves playing through them on numerous occasions. The next game Mount was stationed slightly deeper in a 2-0 away defeat against Tottenham. Mount’s game has never been about dropping deep and dictating possession. He has an excellent passing range but isn’t a defensive midfielder in a 4-2-3-1. He excels in his off-the-ball work, whether that is pressing the opposition or finding space to add a different attacking dimension. His game is about finding space further forward with perceptive, perfectly-timed runs. If they can find a role for him I think he Will be excellent next season.
  11. Aye, let’s hope you can get 500k for him next summer then. Would be a great deal for you guys.
  12. Did they pay £55m + £5m in potential add-ons for a player with one year left on his contract, gave him a wage of £250k/w (incl. bonuses) when their best player already plays in that position? Seems like a strange transfer.
  13. Was signed for £3m, played 26 games in the Championship last season. 20 years old. Will go out on loan again this season. Wanted by Blackburn. Can’t see how he’s a failure. Will be interesting to see what they do with Malick Yalcouyé. He’s been one of the best players in the league this season.
  14. He wasn’t for the first team though. Been out on loan.
  15. Will be a great signing for Brighton. He’s been a boss in midfield for his team this season.
  16. He’s the Dutch version of John Carver.
  17. Ten Hag: ”Manchester United have told me that they spoke with Tuchel, but they eventually came to the conclusion that they already have the best manager.”
