We had a perfectly good pen not given as well didn't we? To be honest, the only two games we'd deserved to lose in recent times was the Spurs game and the Liverpool game, the rest were bad officiating or incorrect VAR use.
-
Yeah, I'm not sure 'competing' is the right term, maybe 'Diving' or 'Conning the ref' would be more suitable. They were exceptionally lucky against us, helped out greatly throughout the match by shit officiating and poor VAR decisions. From what I gather it's been the same in most of the other matches that they've fluked points from recently.

Would rather have Newcastle Utd, just for our fanbase over Chelsea's scumbags any day of the week. I'm still of the mind that our potential massively outweighs Chelsea's long term as well. We'll get there and we'll be glorious!

Phew! Jinx!

I might not necessarily agree with 'pathetic', but I don't see them as the best team in the world, argued or not. That said, think they need a kick in the pants if they really are struggling against the shite that is Everton, the only reason they got a result against us was shit officiating.

Villa can keep Coutinho, stupid cost for a player who's not consistent enough and to be honest, we can get better and younger.

I don't think it's any coincidence that ASM has struggled in recent months at the same time as Wilson being out. Wood just doesn't create enough of a threat to give ASM as much room as he'd had before. -

Agreed, no need for it, he was always a good lad for us, didn't leave under a cloud as far as I'm concerned. -

I don't usually advocate such things but I'm starting to wonder if someone needs to bring a drum in to get the crowd bouncing when it goes a bit flat, shouldn't need it really though. -
Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)

Runs and runs and run, but just doesn't have the final touch needed to be that next level. Such a shame, he's another like Ritchie who gives everything. -

More of the same in the second half most likely, game feels fairly even. Thought ASM had a slow start, picked up as the game went on - as usual though the whole team seems to be struggling with end product. -
Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)

There's a whole queue of players that need to be replaced before we even look at moving Saint Maxi on, utterly bonkers. -

I thought today was the first loss we deserved after the good run we had, we were robbed by bad officiating against Chelski and Everton, but today we were just plain shit. That said, I think the most disappointing thing for me was how much it highlighted how far English football has fallen that players falling down at the slightest touch is now accepted as the norm and even cheered on by the punditry as good play. That and seeing a player like Kane, who is revered so much by the media, practically begging the referee to get another player sent off. For anyone to put Kane in the same bracket as Shearer for sportsmanship and professionalism is laughable and the difference for me as far as ability is concerned is that Shearer made his own goals, Kane needs his goals to be made for him. -

I've not seen much lately about a rebuild of the club's training ground/academy or a potential sporting complex, have I been completely blind (could easily happen with me), or has it just not been set in motion yet? Is the Newcastle Foundation to do with that at all?
-
Just seen Pogba being touted as a potential free transfer for us - I really hope not, I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. Completely over-rated, has a terrible attitude and horrible work ethic.
-
I'm still confused as to how there is any talk about supposed billionaires tabling bids for Chelsea, I thought the club as an asset is frozen and can't be sold. I mean, who would get the money from the sale?!
-
Fucking disgusted by this result. Didn't expect much before the match really, but after being the better team throughout, not having a blatant red given against us, not having a blatant pen given to us, we've been utterly robbed by the ref and VAR, be it from incompetence or corruption, I'm fucking furious!
