What happened to Lacelles? At one point he was performing well, was a model player, deserving of his captaincy, was linked with more successful clubs and was even knocking on the door of the national team. Did Bruce ruin him? Or was he another player that Rafa made look better than he actually was?

Rafa needed the right club and Everton certainly isn't/wasn't it. I still stand by him being a world class manager, but he was always on a hiding to nothing going there, the fans were never going to give him a chance. I think he needs somewhere he can go into where the fans accept him, where he's able to bring in his coaching team and change things to how he wants to run them. I'd have loved him to be the one to take us into the new era, but I think everyone's moved on now, myself included (as much as that's a surprise to myself to admit!)

If we're getting any midfielder, it needs to be Idrissa Gueye imo, though Ramsey would no doubt be useful when fit.

Hope we can power on against the lower teams in the league.

They always say when you're down the wrong end of the table everything goes against you and I know you're supposed to make your own luck, but christ on a bike, we must be the unluckiest team in the league (perhaps with a little help from the league's orders to the their refs).

The shear improvement in Joelinton since Howe came in has been incredible, goes to show what a decent coach can do and what we all knew about Bruce.

Definitely been better in the last handful of games, regardless of result. Against teams lower in the table I suspect we'd have been gaining some much needed wins. Will that be enough by the end of the season?
