I think he’s a decent coach, had a bit of a raw deal at Chelsea, not sure a lot of their signings were of his hand, he had Abraham firing who Rafa desperately wanted here. I think he’d do a decent job here. It’s all a moot point anyway while Ashley is here, it’s Bruce or another Bruce...

The players at Chelsea were getting a raw deal having someone as poor as lampard coaching them. You just have to look at their improvement since they got someone in who knows what he's doing.

It was launched well over a month ago, right? 3 April I think. So the majority of the reoccurring monthly payments would’ve already come out as most of the 60k was pledged really quickly.

A recent increase of 20k seems to suggest there isn’t many monthly subscribers and a majority of the initial were one-offs.

Good takeover news will possibly reduce the appetite lower than it already was too.

It would be interesting to know the value of the largest say half a dozen donations in that initial phase too, obviously without names attached to see what share of the total they made up.

I’m pleased it appears cogs are still turning, but I just don’t see a scenario where the PL back down or they’ve left themselves open to be ripped a new one in court.

I sincerely hope it goes through. I can’t deal with another season of Bruce or Ashley.

Mad that we were sat here this time last year actually believing we were days away from an announcement.

The cogs are turning in terms of Ashley attempting to get some recompense for it being "blocked" (blocked very much in inverted commas) but the takeover itself is dead in the water with the buyers who were interested at the time.

Some of the same ‘positive’ people were saying it was good news PIF pulled out formally. It’s all a bluff, they said...

Mike Ashley could sign an indefinite contract for NUFC to remain in his grubby hands until football ends and we’d have people telling us it’s part of Keith’s strategy

A bit like when losing in their attempt to get beloff removed from the arbitration panel was good news and a deliberate strategy.

Last year of his contract, we get 40% of any sale or 40% back if we buy him. Probably about £7-8m? For that fee probably worth a risk.

    We're definitely interested.

Hardly a proper form table when we've played 6 and other teams have only played 4. It's usually last 6 games for everyone, unless it's been drafted up by Steve Bruce because he can spin anything.

We're in good form though. Anyone  suggesting otherwise is just as guilty of spinning the situation.

Still wouldn't be a surprise to lose the remaining games though, would it?

There’s way too much time and effort being invested in this for there to be nothing happening.

I would imagine that NDM isn’t cheap and there’s clearly someone spoon feeding snippets of information to this Keith fella. I’m not sure someone would take a year off work and invest so much time and effort just to get follows on Twitter.

There’s clearly a lot of effort going in to trying to get the takeover done and dusted. Will it be successful? I hope so and I reckon the odds have possibly swung in our favour with the events of the last few weeks, but only time will tell.

I’m optimistic there’ll be change of some sort in the summer. Whether that’s new owners or a change of tact from Ashley. The pandemic will have hit the club hard. Simple logic suggests they would at least try and get rid of the Corbridge cabbage in order to protect future revenue because as things stand I think they’re in for a shock if they think the fans will be back in droves to watch the shite served up by him.

There was a lot of time and effort expended by Ashley when Debenhams went into administration and his stake got wiped out. Came to nowt though.
