  1. I've mentioned before that I'd be happy with Ramsay on loan. The only thing is that the midfield needs way more steel than it needs craft and he's 0% steel, 100% craft.
  2. Howeh, I thought the italics were a dead giveaway tbh

Was having a read on there yesterday for a laugh, but the palpable toddler rage so many of them have on there, while being canny funny to read for a bit, is pretty unhinged and unhealthy like. Some of them sound like they're posting themselves towards a nervous breakdown. Many of them will never allow themselves to believe that if they were in our position they'd not only continue supporting Sunderland, but that they'd lap it up en masse, because believing in the hypothetical (our fans wouldn't do that!) and unquantifiable (having class) is all they have left to hold onto. If you can hold onto the idea that your fans would do the best, most morally just thing, or that your fans and club have more class, ignoring all of instances that show the opposite, it's a way of feeling like you have something over another club that's worth much more than money and success. That's not a criticism either, a lot on here were the same about Man City and those things - history, identity, community - are more important than money and success imo. What they haven't grasped and what they either wouldn't grasp until it happened to them, or wouldn't give a second thought as they completely 180d on everything they pretend to care about, is that the "what is a club in any case" rhetoric is a naïve fantasy that they might hold dear on an individual level, but isn't as important to everyone else as they might think it is. (Speaking from experience there ) Even then it's their impotent rage that's the most telling. They don't give a single shit about any of the heinous things KSA does outside of the context of them owning Newcastle, let alone any of the heinous shit going on elsewhere that could be called whataboutery. Everything is framed in that way - "look at all these terrible things KSA do, they own the mags!" As if the families destroyed in Yemen or in KSA give a shit about which football club they own. Their supposed moral outrage is just as cheap, shallow, and sickening as the supposed adulation of the knackers carrying KSA flags.
  4. His nickname in the England squad is Stewie Griffin. I thought he reminded me of someone.

RTG really is a special case like. I know a few mackems in real life and none of them are anything like the knackers on there.

    Lucas Digne

Only if he's driving to training when Adam Pearson's there.
  7. That's what I did like. It's showing in your quoted post like, not sure why it didn't work originally. Bitter it didn't get more attention tbh.
  8. Wonder if .com will bother with naming every rumour this window or just list the players we haven't been linked with.
  9. Everyone in this thread What's gan on with the embedding on here?
  10. Why are some are back to being concerned?
  11. Ben Arfa was absolutely unreal, but the lead up to the signing itself was tinged with him falling out with Marseille and the feeling that it was only happening because he'd completely lost his mind. There's nothing like that with Trippier.
  12. On paper is this signing immediately better than even the most exciting we had under Ashley? Ben Arfa, Coloccini, and Cabaye are probably the nearest to it in terms of the profile of the player.
  13. If we're going with proven Premier League strikers that are definitely going to have the right attitude, it's pretty much only Danny Ings that I can think of.

Stuff like this everywhere. "12m doesn't seem bad. But there's add ons and 150k a week for a bloke who's 32 at the start of next season. If they're gonna hoy money around like that then they'll they'll come unstuck. Theyve appointed Eddie howe ffs 'worlds richest'"
  15. The sort of signing that in the circumstances you'd go for on FM or FIFA and would work but seems far fetched in real life. An amazing signing considering our league position, genuinely blown away.
  16. Canny sad like, but it's making me consider buying FIFA for the first time in 9 years.
  17. Think Beye hit a much higher level in that season than Debuchy ever got to, but they're easily the top two I've seen for us. It's only on what he's done up until now, but Trippier would easily be the best right back I've seen at Newcastle.
  18. YouTube scouting suggests that he's strong, uses his body really well to shield the ball, athletic, good touch, good with the ball at his feet, strong in the air, possibly not the fastest and maybe a bit too eager to make tackles when he could do a bit of shepherding. Anyone on here who's seen more of him?
  19. Mad how long it took for Moutinho to come over here. Remember Everton being linked with him for what felt like about 5 years. Been impressed with Podence.
  20. Man United have been lucky again so far. Offered absolutely nothing. You love to see it.
