You're in the cartel in name only as in your membership isn't really based on any actual historical success on the field, unlike the other members: Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal. However you're in on the basis that the interests of your club and the others mentioned are mutual: restrict competition, keep the Champions League a closed shop so you can guarantee income. And the clubs work together to do so - ie a cartel. This isn't some wild conspiracy theory, it's a matter that's on record.
