If that was the rule then we'd only be celebrating when ASM scores. -

It must have came as a total surprise to Yedlin that Son wanted to shift it inside onto his right foot. -

Best football we've played in 3 years -
Eh, I thought he got knocked back by them last summer for not being able to provide proof of funds or something?

Never really appreciated Speed until 02/03 as he'd been wasted on left wing a lot. Even then I thought Viana should have been starting ahead of him in the centre. History makes me look like a mug, but I seem to recall Hugo being more highly rated than a certain Ronaldo at the time....and worse we could have chosen either of them Speed was poor first year or so. Especially out wide. He got loads of criticism. Once he settled into playing in the middle he grew from there. Hugo was hype. Remember everyone raving about him playing in the U21 tournament and he was nothing special in my eyes. Re-watched the tournament again as it got repeated for some reason late at night one month. Anyone could see he’d struggle as didn’t have pace (to play wide) nor strength (to play central). Had some technical ability an eye for a pass but was always going to disappoint after having Robert. Man Utd signed Ronaldo after playing Sporting Lisbon in a friendly. Pretty sure several of the senior players suggested it to Ferguson. No idea who’s decision Bebe was mind? Carlos Queroz (sp) I think suggested him to Ferguson.

Can picture it now can't you? Keys telling Bruce that he had Newcastle playing much better football at the fraction of the price of what Rafa spent,, and how he was hounded out because he wasn't Benitez and because he managed Sunderland. Andy Gray sitting there nodding whilst Bruce goes into detail how great it was to work for Ashley & Charnley and how they're both misunderstood.

Le Tissier saying that was accidental from Romeu man hahaha.

This is how I remember him. Injury prone but good when fit. Did score quite a few goals if I remember correctly. Score one for us (Sunderland). Unless you meant he scored a few in his career.

Good goal. Good game this.

Le Tissier and Aluko

He wasn't top end but he was canny enough.

Upson? 57 appearances in 6 seasons suggests he wasn’t great at the Gunners. That wasn't the mantra though, was it? Just "produce one CB worthy". Post never said they had to be great at Arsenal. That said I didn't realise they bought him from Luton as per above post. My bad- I took the ‘produce one CB worthy’ as meaning that player must be worthy, ie good, as opposed to merely producing a player. Upson was a canny player.
