Always thought that the site in below article could be a possibility, especially when the arena moves to Gateshead Quays. Looks like this development will put pay to it once and for all. Right by the river always thought it could have been a spectacular location, and kept all the benefits of city centre location. Also never understood when we looked to build on castle leazes, why we didn’t try and secure the breweries site. When you look at the development on that land now, we could have built a great stadium there, and it would have been just across the road. Maybe the land had already been bought at that point, but I’m sure they could have traded off some of the land St James currently stands on. Hmmm. I hope that's not a bad thing. While it was funny, their rhyme tweet yesterday felt a little cocky and unprofessional. The PL will be well aware of the account now, I wouldn’t be surprised if they reported them. However, while I agree they need to keep it professional, I don’t think at this point they’ve done anything wrong. If anything it may even show how rattled PL are, and the tit for tat we can expect. Our clubs relationship with the league is toxic at this point. But I do agree with manorpark, these 2 lads have stood up for the supporters of this club and showed we’re not taking this lying down. These lads seem to have previous with anti competition cases, and understand have won one much larger than this. By all accounts O’Donoghue is also a leading anti competition QC, so absolutely no reason not to believe in them.

Yeah the Spurs stuff is very interesting. If that is even half true it makes it absolutely clear why the “top six” would be so worried. I mean, 3.5 billion for Spurs, that is some level of investment and commitment from the Saudis. Exactly and what these owners in the top 6 will also be aware of is that there’s a very limited number of people who could afford to buy them. PIF will be one of these companies who could afford 3 Billion, they’ll be well aware a major potential purchaser down the line will have gone. As Staveley said at the time their was a lot of jealousy behind all this.

I was commentating on the article in the Telegraph which is just another entirely invented load of hogwash based on rumours, hearsay and the desperate ramblings of some hack who hasn't got a f***ing clue what he is writing about. No problem with that, it's modern journalism, however that people believe it's the gospel truth that's the problem. I've no idea if the Saudi's are still interested in buying the club how would I, the last public comment they made was that they were out. The said journalist Jason Burt actually broke the takeover story, he has credibility.

Funniest part of this entire saga was right at the very start, during the morning of the Companies House changes, when Edwards steamed in to s*** on it and had to delete his tweet after 10 mins because someone at the Telegraph clearly had a word to say Burt had the exclusive. He’s been on the back foot since this whole story broke, he clearly has no relevant sources, tries to belittle other journalists and just displays a complete lack of knowledge around the whole proceess. And to top it all off he comes across as a completely unlikeable cunt.

The PL are certainly going to a lot of trouble to fight a takeover based on a blurring of the lines of ownership. With a bid which has millions of investment lined up during a global pandemic, heavyweight political support, and fan backing, it sort of makes you wonder who’s agenda they are serving. Of course we all know who’s agenda that is, but I would imagine it’ll be pretty cringeworthy watching the PL trying to dress this up as acting in the clubs and fans own interest. If Masters is called as a witness where home and dry judging by his past performances when questioned.

So according to the PL handbook, both sides have 14 days to assign people, and then another 14 days for chair and then 14 days to disclose info. If PL don't want to disclose this could be done and dusted in time for Jan transfer window This is clearly where the confidence comes from, certainly ties in with everything mimms has posted.
