  1. Basically this tell them to fuck off.
  2. Joint article with Simon Jones who gets nowt right.
  3. I’d bloody hope not to see it reinvested in Solanke and Calvert-Lewin would hardly be taking the club forward, not to mention the message it would send out.
  4. Mackems never get done be gravy and mag claret everywhere.
  5. Every deal has risks but 3 of our 5 best purchases have come from abroad Botman, Isak and Bruno. Though Tonali looks a disaster currently, he’s still young and everything could look different for him by end of next season. The 4th best deal Trippier would have cost a dam sight more as well if he had been playing for an English club.
  6. I’d argue Williams and Kudus are the best players in the comparisons I gave as well as better investments, which is important unless the rules are going to change.
  7. Its all a bit tongue in cheek though isn’t it, but it’s undeniable if we splurged 60 million on Bowen it’s because the manager wants PL experience and a sure thing. If Chelsea get Nico Williams for 45 million who is much younger and has sell on value I know who I’d be thinking got the best deal. Similar with Kudus last summer, compared to Barnes who we’d struggle to make our money back on, West Ham clearly got the better value deal by showing a bit more imagination and taking a chance.
  8. The trouble is everyone agrees Howe has done a great job to date, however some think we should just trust everything he does and it’ll turn out good as he’s earned that trust, whereas others and I’d probably include myself here are happy to question individual decisions along the way rightly, or wrongly. Not worth getting heated over, for what it’s worth so far this window I’m happy enough with Kilman link wouldn’t be my first choice as wanted a pacy right sided CB, but not particularly happy with Trafford and DCL links. I feel starting 11 needs strengthening, but can see view that the bottom line needs upping in the squad difficult balancing act. I don’t agree with Brexit Eddie but I do think he clearly favours PL experience, which I think is the wrong approach if where looking to close the gap and just to safe in my opinion.
  9. You can have all the scouting network in the world but if the manager wants PL experience it’s worthless.
  10. Think Kilman is a good solid defender and in an ideal world would take Burns place at LB, as not convinced Hall gets the nod from start of season with Kelly now here. What it suggests to me is the club don’t think Burn is the answer all season and they’re expecting Botman to be out for most of it. In an ideal world we signed a pacy right sided CB to upgrade Schar, but Botmans injury has fucked that plan and Kilman looks as though he can play 3 out of the 4 positions along the back.

We must safeguard ourselves with a buy back especially if it’s a PL club, would be absolutely galling if he tears it up.
  12. That’s just my take and always will be, they didn’t just cave in when the Saudis decided to pay Bein, lot of moving parts and I think disclosure in a CAT case was something they’d have avoided at all cost. The payment to Bein was all part of the optics and I also believe there’s a reason we have held back from any action such as City’s so far, it certainly wasn’t agreed all of a sudden due to clearing up who was running the club.
  13. I’m still intrigued when people say he won’t cost much the most reliable source so far is the Times which says Everton want 37 million, not to mention I’d hazard a guess he’s probably one of Everton’s highest paid players.
  14. From the Times would you be happy paying 37 million ? Newcastle United are pushing ahead with their interest in the Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin as they seek to bolster their forward options. There has been contact between the clubs with regard to the future of Calvert-Lewin, who has 12 months remaining on his contract and is not minded to sign an extension. Everton are seeking about £37million if they are to sell the striker. Everton have offered a new deal to the 27-year-old, but the uncertainty over the ownership of the club means there is little incentive for the forward to put pen to paper.
  15. No need for covert briefings if this one goes through they’ll be laughing their tits off.
  16. He’s got final say he said it himself buck stops.
  17. Every managers job depends on the success of his transfers not that controversial.
  18. Unpopular on here, but yes he has final word on transfers so this window is entirely on him and his job will depend on it.
  19. The sort of deal you’d expect a Moyes, Allardyce and Bruce to pull off, but because it’s Eddie it’ll turn out ok. Wood didn’t turn into anymore than the sum of his parts and this crock won’t either. The intensity Howe wants to train and play at, the 2 moves so far leave a lot of question marks and the obsession with PL based players just all looks a little bit playing it safe if I’m being extremely kind at best.
  20. Awful signing alongside potentially another crock with Kelly, window shaping up exactly as I feared without a DOF shaping the strategy. Hopefully Edwards off the mark as usual, otherwise they better start employing some extra medical staff for next season the physio room will be choca.
  21. Olise is also injury prone to be fair, always a risk with these type of players, Gibbs White more robust but not sure he’s what we need on the right. Personally think it’ll be a Tonali type out the blue purchase from the continent where surely we can get better value. What about that Nusa guy who Brentford were after for example.
  22. We know how they fold when it goes to CAT as well.
  23. No argument massive improvement on midfield from majority of last season, but still questionable whether they’ll work as a starting 3 against better teams. In an ideal world Tonali and Joelinton alternate and the 3rd player is more creative, at home against Liverpool looked very unimaginative and predictable as 1 example, then there was Brighton away when they were atrocious, jury still out for me.
