Just that Moshiri has supposedly offered, or is set to offer, him the job - and Moshiri alone. Brands apparently has had no say?

That confirms what we already knew, no bearing on the takeover whatsoever

Here, have something "positive" Knight Ryder speaks! https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-takeover-rafa-benitez-never-20835656 Rafa Benitez's return to Newcastle United as boss was never a stipulation of the club's Middle East takeover - meaning his imminent Premier League comeback with Everton won't affect potential new ownership. It was Benitez, through his contacts, that brought Amanda Staveley to the table at St James' Park when PCP Capital Partners tried to buy the club four years ago. And at that stage the plan was for Benitez to be backed by Staveley and co. Since then things have moved on - and in a different direction - with Benitez never an automatic choice for Staveley, the Reuben brothers and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. Indeed at one stage last summer it was Mauricio Pochettino who was being touted to be the head coach under a possible new regime. But even then that was never confirmed and current boss Steve Bruce was set to get the chance to work for new owners to begin with. So in short, Benitez's appointment at Everton has nothing to do with anything takeover wise and there has been no change on whether it will be passed or not as legal proceedings continue.

Because of the pandemic, creating uncertainty in China for long-term management
-
They're using China to justify him being past it. But in China you had a foreign player cap, and the standard of that league isn't something you can easily shape through tactics - he was heavily reliant on inexperienced youth in his full season so of course results would be poorer. Treat it as a new challenge with absolute ambition from Dalian's owner (250 million worth training ground, 14 pitches). Was a step up honestly for wanting a project. Often 1 goal margin defeats like was the case here in 18/19

I'm seeing a lot genuinely claim Allardyce was a better manager

I noticed RTG have a thread on it too. I dare click that

I'm actively ignoring Everton fans' thoughts because I know it's majority abuse. I've seen some with RafaOut in their names already on Twitter!

Media and Everton fans are unanimously against him, it's a very, very brave move for Rafa. It'll be such a shame that we're one of the few fanbases to still respect him, but there is a noticeable amount who dismiss his achievements now time has passed. You get the clueless lot anywhere though

It'll be weird at Everton games when we'll chant Rafa more than them!
-
And to think this time in 2018 they were nearly bankrupted by Tony Xia having his assets frozen, with Bruce as manager! Things really do look up once you get rid of the big problems, isn't that right? They're minted too to give the owners credit now, good luck

He liked a picture of a zebra if people want to read into that

Love a bit of corruption in the highest offices

Yeah they're going for Rafa https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/everton-step-up-rafa-benitez-talks-as-interest-in-nuno-espirito-santo-appears-to-cool-s09q5dj3g

They're trying to get a hashtag trending to see if the directors care. Maybe another club, but ours definitely wouldn't listen (or know tbf)!

Problem is casuals look at points totals, that's it. If we're judging only that yeah identical, to the letter. 44 and 45. Nice defence there, worth a like. Last summer he was all about not stagnating, so I'm holding him to higher standards next season if he stays

Rafa's back in the mix for the Everton job, according to Talksport, who in fairness are usually decent with managerial changes. https://talksport.com/football/895720/everton-next-manager-rafa-benitez-liverpool-santo-talks/ However I open the link and am greeted with a claim that "his time has come and gone" which I don't believe to be true. Edwards was right in a way, no other club respects him enough to want him as their manager! I saw some people saying on an Athletic article of all places, you'd expect them to be quite informative with the stats and so on, that Bruce has done an identical job, even a better job, so what's the point in Rafa?
