That’s the most frustrating thing. We could spend 30m on a striker and a left back then loan in say Holding and Brewster then get Fraser on a free. Yeah that’s the part I don’t get at all. Even a 5m loan fee for a good left back on loan for a year and even 7m loan fee for a striker like Batshauyi on loan would likely keep us up and save him 150m for a small outlay but it seems he would rather spend nothing and just risk 150m.

Sounds about right. I was just thinking what I would do in that situation but I can’t really even think of anyone we could afford to sell to raise funds to spend elsewhere. Only really Lejeune or Schar but there aren’t going to bring much in? Gayle would be best off sold if we could get 10m then put that towards a good striker on loan. Other than that we have very little room to manoeuvre.
