Aye I can see it now it’s just going to trickle on like this over the whole summer. Ashley can also use it as justification to only get free transfers and loans and keep Bruce here. Not that he’d care about justifying that but it will still fool plenty in our fanbase enough to buy another season ticket.

I was devastated, still am. People celebrating Man City and Chelsea remaining in the league is beyond me. Villa, Leeds and Newcastle fans etc are basically celebrating the top 4 remaining a closed shop for 90% of the next 10 seasons

I disagree. Would still be a highly competitive 20 team PL that the winners of can rightly be proud of and be champions of England as the other 6 won’t be part of english football. I just find it weird people have spent years moaning about the big 6 and how unfair it is now there is the prospect of them finally leaving people are devastated. They wouldn’t be missed. Fuck me I have seen it all now Chelski fans protesting about greed and competitiveness been ruined! It was their club who started all this in this country in 2004. Them and Man City are responsible for the PL becoming a closed shop and predictable. Be doing us all a favour if they left and let the rest of us who don’t have oil money have a chance to compete.

Yeah they could. Uefa would still run the champions league. I can’t see anything stopping them from doing so or any reason why they wouldn’t. We would still have the PL, relegation, European qualification, promotion from the championship and below. The only negative side I can see of this is for the fans of them 6 clubs but I have no sympathy as most are armchair fans anyhow.

Not really no I just think if them 6 teams want to leave them good riddance to them and we will be a lot better off without them and their oil money and plastic fans.

Also even if it did go ahead with UEFA been so against it then surely they would keep the champions league going still? So there would be more chances for the other 14 teams to qualify for the CL as the 6 would be banned from it. There would still be a league champion and relegation. Also no matter how much money clubs made from the super league they would still be bound by financial fair play as they are now.
