  1. Their season in the championship they averaged 27.5k, still very good mind
  2. Not according to them, which is total shite; as we have always had bigger crowds in the vast majority of seasons (including pre 92). You only have to go to the website English Attendances to see that in plain sight year after year.
  3. What is absolutely crazy is that the fact Ashley has practically run the club to the ground, has acually left the consortium with massive opportunities moving forward. Not only do they have quite a large flexibility with FFP in terms of what they can spend straight away, but they also have a huge platform to increase annual revenues all round in a big way also. It's really like starting with a blank sheet of paper.
  4. As I said I disagree and we will see. It's going to be on a different planet to what we're used to that's for sure either way.
  5. Disagree with the first bit, but time will tell.
  6. We have both read numerous things, doesn't mean it's true. Staveley will be the face of the club imho, JR working on the upgrades and infrastructure and I still think PIF will be ones dealing with the big decisions.
  7. Maybe it will be, but currently there is no sporting director in place. Could well be that they already have one lined up and are working with him to identify managerial targets. I was just questioning that AS and JR are working on targets, as I just can't see that being the case.
  8. I still think the hiring of the manager will be in the hands of PIF and not Staveley or Jamie Rueben.
  9. Having him in the dugout would have a massive negative effect and change the whole atmosphere on Sunday. I can't believe that they would not realise that also.
  10. We get 100% of those sales. The clubs usually buy the full allocation of tickets off Newcastle and then sell to their supporters.
  11. If you look at the thread (about page 360) from the time when the news first broke out on Wednesday, there is very little about the Saudis or Kasshoggi. Nearly all the talk is about the piracy and proving seperation. A few of the current ones stamping about 'human rights' are actually saying lucky fuckers, worried only about how much money we will have and taking fans away from their areas again. They only changed when it became official
  12. Not bothered, but have hundreds of pages and thousands of posts since Wednesday - aye certainly looks like it
  13. Like fuck would I, it's a sticky post on their main page from the admin
  14. They have put a temp block on it after Thursday's news
  15. They're trying to convince themselves now that the sale will be challenged and cancelled and Ashley will be the owner again . One of the most broken ones has put "I’ve adjusted this afternoons dog walk so I can pass the back of the academy of light twice. I’ve never been as proud to support the lads." Fucking hell man .
  16. Think they will have to change it to massively increase the commercial revenue. This as you say will give us increased opportunities to strengthen the squad and not fall foul of FFP. However, I’m sure they will come out and explain this to the support, unlike Ashley who changed it on a whim (with no financial benefit to the club).
  17. Honestly think that Inter was their back up.plan if they hadn’t completed buying us. I know Man City owners have other feeder clubs and I’m sure PIF will also, but it would make no sense buying another top level club, as this would give massive problems later down the line, especially with entrance to European tournaments.
  18. The handful who disagree are instantly classed as mags immediately and abused. It’s been as funny as fuck seeing the absolute meltdown on there.
  19. I'm loving this to be honest. They are all fucking shitting themsevles.
  20. I would imagine that she will be the day to day face of the club. Think it will be PIF who will be the ones that will be negotiating with any proposed managers and players.
  21. They have took it worse than even I thought possible. It has totally broken them to bits.
  22. Cancelled it as the players are off today
  23. That will be good, honestly think though that they have been pushing and waiting for this for 18 months and the with the regional politics in the area, will mean that they will be going full on.
  24. Are they not seperate to the FFP though and not included? I thought they were.
  25. Just up after about 5 hours sleep in the last 48 hours or so. What's really made it for me was how quick everything happened. This meant that the excitement was able to build and keep building, without the life exhausting and continuous counter reports we had previously experienced these last 18 months. When the anti-media brigade were also singing from the same hymn sheet, then that told me this is really on. After expecting the issues through the legal cases to last a minimum of 6 months (in addition to the 18 months), to then have everything done in 36 hours (I know behind closed doors it was longer) from that first report of the Saudi/Bein agreement to the Premier League statement was just sublime.
