Was absolutely gutted when we sold him. It came out of no where. I thought we were finished.... Then remember being at a campsite in France next summer with my mum and dad and hearing the news we had signed Shearer. Funny how things work out.
-
He is finished. You don't spend the best part of two years trying to buy a club, go through the legal system to do so, spend 1 billion on settling the issue preventing you from buying the club, 300 million for the club itself.... only to allow Steve '17th is good enough' Bruce to stay in charge.
-
He's already been invited to the Saudi embassy to discuss a new contract...
-
Hope the boulder actually hits him though.
-
I sincerely hope that once his mate has finally been sacked for dragging us down to the Championship and he wants a new angle, people remember what an absolute cretin this bloke has been.
-
Yes it does. Remember Carver.
-
Let's see what Shearer has to say about his mate...
-
He is trolling us now. How he can represent NE sport is laughable.
-
Yep. Must be so motivating being one of his players knowing that if (when) we lose he will throw you under the bus to save his skin. That and he doesnt bother coming to training. Alex Ferguson used to always protect his players and never called them out in public. How has this twat not learned from his mentor.
-
He only walked away from those clubs because he had a bigger payday on offer at another club. This time he has none so he will sit tight and wait his his payoff or leave when another club becomes available. I find it staggering that anyone would hire him but he seems bulletproof. The bloke claims to be a childhood fan but he doesn't give a fuck about us. All he cares about is adding more money to his bank account.
-
I dont think he would melt. More likely crackle and spit like a hog roasting on a fire...
-
What do you expect? We are only little Newcastle. We should be happy to be ticking along and barely staying in the premier league.
-
Seriously, who exactly are we going to beat under this clown? Norwich maybe? We are fucked. Our December fixtures are so difficult. It is Everton on the 28th of that month. How ironic it would be if it were Rafa who stuck the final nail in fat boy's coffin.
-
I would say more likely that this result is the Chronicle's fault..
-
Spot on. The bloke is the biggest mercenary in the league. The fact he has mates in the media and he used to play for Man United has given him a career in management in which he has made millions from being an abject failure. He either runs clubs into the ground or walks away at the first chance of more money for pork pies. The fact that he sees the latter as a success is an absolute embarrassment.
-
Don't forget calling Pellegrini an 'old cunt'.
-
The only reason we are 'entertaining' is because we are so bad defensively the opposition get a load of chances and we miss a boat load of chances attacking.
-
Sack the fat bastard now. I can't stand his comments every match, saying we should be happy with mediocrity. He is deliberately crushing the hopes and dreams of all our fans in palm of his fat kebab ridden hand.
-
More of the same? He is trying to liken himself to Keegan here by claiming to have an entertaining team. The thing is, Keegans teams actually won and did against the best in the country. We have been in two matches that were end to end but against relegation rivals. Neither of which we won. A decent team would have ripped us apart the way we played defensively.
-
Cracking team. It must be so exciting supporting a team like that. New in the Premier league, punching above their weight.
-
With a decent manager we should be comfortably mid table with this squad. A decent manager and some proper investment we should be pushing for the top half of mid table (not the top 4, they are light years ahead of us and everyone else) and a go at the cups.
-
Ashley does not give a monkeys whether we finish 7th or 17th. It is actually probably better for him 17th with low expectations and a manager taking all the flak for him.
-
I actually don't think we will. I think there will be three teams worse than us, which is the aim of the club at the moment. Our squad is better than the current position in my opinion. We just lack management, facilities, investment. I think that even with Bruce in charge this group of players should stay up. That in itself is tragic as we will continue on this cycle while Ashley is in charge and aim for 17th every year.
-
What happens at half time? It is like the coaches train them through the week and prepare them for the game, they do ok and then Bruce takes over at half time.
-
Our players are not fit enough. We played well in the first half but by midway through the second we looked gassed. The man in charge of training them is responsible for that.
