Two loanees, one of whom has only played for them in the championship. Two strikers who had two good seasons for them each max (one admittedly very good). Two thugs who would be sent off within ten minutes in today's game. One of whom was pictured in the local media drunk on a casino floor covered in £50 notes after what I believe was one of their final seasons of swirling around the bowl before being finally flushed. The other one stood up in a court of law to defend one of the fish quay participants at some later stage about a ban from travelling to matches. Amazing that for half the 'best team in the last 40 years'. . A couple of the others I can't remember. Decent keeper but nothing special.

City still pissed.

His garden is going to look superb by the end of next year.

They were the only team in the group we looked out of our depth against in terms of European experience. On paper the easiest opponents we had but they were very savvy.

Harsh on Ashley there. You can fit a lot of paddling pools into a shipping container.

Right after getting beaten by the bloke they sacked 2 months ago . Priceless.

Karel Poborsky

Should they sack Beale I feel this would be an excellent opportunity for a young, up and coming BAME manager.
-
If they appeal and lose I assume the points deduction would still be applied to this season?

Even without injuries we can't do that yet. They have spent ten years building up to being as good as they are and brought on one of the best players in the world.

7th and win the cup would do just fine.

Need to keep our heads here cos this lot are trying to turn into a brawl.

Heard it is worth 100 at a push. Maybe add 400 taking the piss out of the mackems tax it might be worth it. I dont think it is what could be described as corporate, more like a concourse with more space (brother in law is a mackem who sits there is my source)

The 2-2 game to be fair to them was intimidating. You couldn't hear our team being read out. They got quieter the next year and even quieter the following year. My main memory from the 2-2 was one of our fans ran to the front to greet our players running out, fell over and brought down an advertising board then got arrested

It is shite being in the home end at an away game. I did it at the away fans ban match and it was not fun at all.
-
They had a class nightclub in the 90s to be fair. Think it was called the Sugar Shack. Apart from that not much

Yep. It is funny that since police escorts became a thing they act up and play the hard man on RTG. Before that they didn't want to know. We literally used to go down Roker for a pint in the morning and not a word was said.

If you are talking about turning up at their ground early then I suppose we did (I have never been into football violence by the way, just having a beer on away trips). It was a piece of piss compared to Boro. Sunderland you could have a drink in some of the pubs or on the beach without any bother. Boro it was like the whole town were waiting for you.

Absolutely dreading this now. Of all the times to play them. I never understood people thinking this was a good draw. If we lose we will never hear the end of it.

I think Howe has done an amazing job, but that was awful. We looked like a bottom half of the league team playing against a top team. The gulf between us and them was huge. He has a lot of work to do and we need better quality in the squad. Playing above and beyond ourselves has ran it's course.
