Liverpool seems to generate great talent and they are far thicker. I think football inteligence is a separate category to general intelligence. Rooney was a genius on the pitch in his prime but he'd struggle in a simple pub quiz. Maradonna was a simpleton but on the pitch he was... Maradonna.

Seeing some elements of Gareth Bale in him. I think once he's confident and been "Howed" he's gonna be brilliant for us. Also people have been saying he's not a tricky winger but he definitely has some flair, cheeky step overs, taking people on etc

I agree. I don't rate him either. Some lovely long range strikes but whenever we play them our players breeze past him, he simply can't compete with our energy. So do we want that type of player in our midfield? I'd rather splash the cash on Maddison.

You are correct, people are just uninformed about THAT performance. The Palace performance was the worst he has ever played.
