Living in Leicester with no newcastle supporters - I remember everyone acting in disbelief, some laughing at me (in fun of course, banter) when we bought Isak, now the local Arsenal press rsn a story a few weeks back saying we're arrogant and selfish for standing in his way and not letting him have his move to Arsenal.

He was getting the used to the premiere league in a brand new country, barely being able to speak the language and probably knowing what’s in the post for him in terms of the charges. All of those except getting used to the prem have gone now and he has had a long time to train with these guys. I reckon he’ll be fine personally.

Either way he seems delighted to be back on the south coast and shown a good attitude last season by all counts so they’re only going to judge him based on what they’ve seen

It seems every player we’re rumoured to sell there’s dozens of pages on here arguing if he should go or stay, it’s tiresome.

I agree we should move on but I do believe he won't sign a new deal and they could be out of pocket here, that's what i'm hoping for.

To say someone works incredibly hard souds like a very patronising compliment - "Gordon really creates a lot of chaces, Isak will finish those chances and get us goals, Miggy - well he really tries".

Would he agree to a £70m release clause because that’s what they’ll want? I think his head may have been turned now with our bids and if you believe the press then if he was available cheaper / free Liverpool absolutely want him as well.

I do agree with you on the point of letting people excel at what their best at so trust both Mitchell and Howe on that, you don’t employ Bill Gates to set up laptops for example.

Would have been nice to sign him but I think this will be funny / interesting to watch play out as he’s reportedly only on around £50k per week and I hope he refuses to sign a new deal. Palace either then lose a lot of cash as I can’t see anybody matching their valuation so they sell him much cheaper or keep him until he goes on a free. The last option could have a knock on effect on signing players in the future as I truly believe as a player if a club like say Brighton comes in for you it has to be comforting knowing they won’t stand in your way if you want to go and the right offer comes in.

I know - all those goals, everything shearer did for us, including reportedly turning Man U down several times to stay at us. Never had a more loyal player in my lifetime, love him and everything he does.

You don’t know that - none of us know where we’re with in PSR except we flew so close to the sun last season. If that £65m we spend on Guehi puts us say £15m in the red then it’s not absolutely worth it as we cannot sell players to make that up. Balancing revenue at this club for the next few years will be difficult as most of the old regime players are unsellable and we can’t tap into that.

You can’t have bad wishes on a guy for not wanting to live in a dessert just so we can have a bit more cash on hip.

A - yes, b - no, teams are gonna attack you at some point during a game no master how well or how good you press. Tripps was awful last part of the season as was burn whenever he played left back, shocking is a strong word to be fair though.

Talk about cherry picking - there’s also a reason they consistently picked him every season before that when they were consistently in top half upwards. I live in Loughborough, my wife and her four brothers are all big Leicester supporters and there’s a reason they were gutted when we bought him.
