It’s a quid.pro quo deal
-
There is other ways as well though - cutting down on outgoings, I know we have another year left on a lot of peoples contracts but we really need to get the likes of Fraser, Hayden and co off the books - maybe even just say to Man U “look you can have ashworth for 10m” as that also saves his wages and we can look for his replacement and tackle this with a full team.
-
What does that mean to us in a nutshell? Edit: never mind - just read your above post
-
Don’t think so - I read as it’s made up of three years that we posted something like -£70m then another -£70m so this season we had to bring that back to -£105m from what was -£140m which we’ve seemingly done if these deals go through. One of those -£70m will now drop off the radar now as it’s a running process. However we now move over to PSR and this is all for FFP so good knows what that means.
-
Yeah but you can’t buy buy buy and not sell sell sell - unfortunately nobody wants most of the dross we were left holding when the music stopped and Ashley left. We all knew it will be a long road to recovery and sacrifices would be made, this and Minteh to balance three years that seen us bring in the likes of Pope, Botman, Bruno, Tonali, Gordon and Isak and greatly improving players as well as more astute signing as well has been a great three year success for me personally.
-
All we can want is for every window we get in better than what’s going out, as cliche as it sounds but i believe Tonali will be like a new signing for us.
-
You say that but I’ve just read on local Liverpool site that we’ve now wet their appetite so they’re gonna return with a £53m plus keeper offer in a deal they not only think we’ll take as we’re desperate for a keeper it seems but they say the deals worth around £100m. The article also says that will suit them as they doesn’t know where this keeper fits in with them, what I take from it is they practically only rate Gordon the same as an unwanted keeper as the hard cash on offer is pretty much only their valuation of the keeper.
-
When the take over first went through this forum was full of people saying “all we want is people who try” well they did try and maybe tried too hard and spent too much in the process but I’m sure lessons have been learned. It’s hard for me to be too annoyed as we’ve had two top ten finishes back to back for the first time since god knows how long and I come down on the side that we never seen minteh play so I won’t miss what we never had and I’ve always said that it’s very important for us to start creating a revenue stream from trading like that. I just can’t believe how bitter some people have become so quickly towards them that all it’s took is the sale of of one prospect.
-
Now reporting Minteh sale alone isn’t enough and we need to sell another Will they ever leave us alone and pester another fucking club
-
Did they? The season before miggy had scored 11 goals and there was a lot of worldies in there. He just went back to norm this season.
-
We’ve never been that disorganised before, since the take over the term well oiled springs to mind to me.
-
So you’ve just ignored the signing of non prem players Bruno, isak and botman in that story. None of us have seen enough of Tonali yet so don’t close the score on him just yet. I’ve read in a few places that he’s looked amazing on the training ground and is raring to go.
-
Then we get at least £200m for them - not ideal but we’ll survive.
-
You’re very disappointed in the presses image of the running of the club.
-
Just posted the same thing - I’ve often had a right rollicking at work and have never come in and said “I feel so unloved and unsettled”
-
How do you know it’s unsettling them? None of us know then it their levels of professionalism.
-
Everton were charged for breaching it in 2021/22 season then charges again for ignoring this and overspending again in the next season as well. It was two separate charges. Even if it was 10 points I’d prefer to keep Gordon personally.
-
I thought that but do you not think they’ve had enough of our lawyers with the take over nonsense?
-
They’re clearly fucked up??? All we have is stories from journos who have been more wrong than right under this regime and you’ve already concluded they’ve clearly fucked up? How’s about wait until the dust settles and are where we are
-
49 minutes ago the mirrors just printed a story saying Gordon’s best friend in football plays for Liverpool, they’re spouting some article where he named three and one was also Anderson but that doesn’t fit the narrative of the story I suppose.
-
Hard to believe or not believe as I owners just stay totally quiet on everything. My heart said we didn’t but there’s a lot of stories about it now, it was even in sky sports ffs
-
Where did you read that?
-
Lawyers gonna lawyer - if they have sniffed a loophole or stronger chance of defence they’ll be exploiting it straight away. I doubt it but this could be that
-
Don’t know but either way this seems to me that sell Menteh then there’s a divide on here as to if we should take the hit, sell Gordon every fucker says take the hit - this could be damage control and selling an angle from the club. I don’t know a lot about Liverpool and to be honest don’t want to but a few mates who support them say the deal was always a non starter (if true) as that lad is class. Have we just put a never gonna happen deal out there?
-
Yeah but only two - could have been more, who knows. I expect we have damn good lawyers and they may be setting something up, you never know - I watch the Lincoln Lawyer.
