I'd rather they just turn it off for a few minutes to fix it than continue with this.
-
Wtf is up with this stream! Ridiculous.
-
That's a shame if true. Would've rathered him than Sarr or Harrison.
-
Cornet would be a decent signing. Did okay Burnley and If Mcneil is worth 20m than 17.5m for Cornet is a bargain. Can play LB as well if needed in a desperate situation.
-
No that's not at all what I'm saying. I'm saying it WILL be a mixed starting 11 and bench. So Bondswell may well play if that's what Howe wants. I'm suggesting that as this is all pre planned a while ago, theres no reason to play 2 games in 2 days if one of them is going to be a u23 game in all but name.
-
Fun88 logo matches the kit accents on the Away and Alternate kit. Can't match it on the home kits because it's striped else I'm sure they would've done.
-
Wouldn't surprise me if it's the usual agent led rumours to perhaps try and get an improved contract or to simply just get people talking about him and his name in the papers.
-
Add Anderson into that equation as well. Joelinton will obviously start Saturday no question. Today perhaps Bruno, Longstaff and Anderson. That gives a bit of everything in the middle with Anderson being allowed further forward. Tomorrow could see, Willock, Joelinton and Shortsaff potentially unless Howe brings an u23 into the lineup. Or ofcourse there's the possibility he'll mix it up and give some players 45mins today and then 45mins tomorrow so could conceivably be anything if he does that.

I disagree, he will have had the final say on when these friendlies took place. So had he wanted to have a game wherein he would play his potential Forrest starting 11 there's no reason he would've chosen to have 2 games in 2 days, it wouldn't make sense to do that.
-
I'd be massively suprised if it's not a mixture. If not only because it would seem a little unfair on people only going to watch one of the games if it was basically the u23s today and full 1st team in the other. Also, I'm fairly certain Howe won't be playing what could be considered his starting 11 for Forrest, he'll not want to give anything away just yet.

Almost as ridiculous as the giant H on Brightons new kit.
-
I know, I saw the previous post. But the thought did cross my mind when people were mentioning how much more they wanted Seko after seeing him against Liverpool and Almiron is the obvious (yet flawed) comparison.
-
I do reckon these are 3 of the nicest kits we've had in a long time. Not saying individually we havent had better Home, Away or Alt kits but collectively I think this is by far the best collection we've had for a good while.
-
Much easier for Seko to increase his value and more so put himself on the radar of bigger clubs because he's not played that many games considering he's 22. It was the same with Ekitike to some extent. One good season as a 18-23yr old can get you a big move, especially if it's one of your first playing in the top leagues. Almiron on the other hand is much older and has played alot of games in the Premier League so him having a decent pre season does very little for anyone outside of us as Newcastle fans.
-
Hes capable of playing anywhere across the front 3 and has played in all 3 for Chelsea and Leipzig. I think it would be easy to slot him into the RW position and be done with it. No reason him and ASM can't swap sides throughout matches as well to mix things up. Not sure these links have much to them though, however he is the type of signing I would expect to happen closer to the window closing if anything when Werner and his guys get more and more concerned that he won't play enough.
-
But they will have had a full (or close to full) pre-season with their current club and because most teams aren't managed by Steve Bruce their fitness I wouldn't be an issue. Tactically and personally is different ofcourse and it would've been nice to have all signings in by now but its rarely possible unless you are one of the top 5/6 clubs in Europe and even then its not a given.
-
Perhaps that isn't relating to the name or profile of the player more so the importance of the position they are looking to sign. Whether that's RW or ST its an important positon and one that can push you to another level if they score or assit enough.
-
His stats are pretty poor. He's played 52 games in the last 3yrs at PSG, which in itself isn't very good but then add to the fact in that time he's only scored 6 goals and made 8 assists. Even for 13M I'm looking at that and thinking why would we want him other than because he's been at PSG and is a reasonably well known player. I do think we do need a "name" player, but perhaps not this summer and certainly not Draxler.
-
Maupay of Brighton potentially leaving for 15M. I think I'd have him here at that price. Average goal scoring record but very good presser and worker and reliable in terms of appearances. Would be decent back up for Wilson at that price or even as part of a front 2. Not one for the long term perhaps but could do well for a year or 2 and then longer as a squad player.
-
Starting to think this may be a case of waiting clubs out now. Weve got the targets weve got so far because we've been working on them since January. Clubs may change their mind when there is only a week to go and they realise the player wants to leave and no other clubs are willing to spend 30M on them.
-
Would be a difficult choice if it were between Harrison and Barnes. Barnes would seem like a "bigger" signing and more of a coup mainly because he's coming from Leicester instead of Leeds but also as he has played for England (albeit only 1 cap). Personally I would prefer Barnes but he seems like he would cost a fair bit more than Harrison and I'd begrudge spending anything over 30M for either of them but do think Barnes is perhaps worth that price more than Harrison is.
-
If it's 20M then that does seem a reasonable fee. I'd agree with Fede and Watts (loan) having to go but can't see Howe spinning this yarn about Lascelles and him being club captain only for him to leave a few weeks down the line. 5 CBs playing for 2 spots seems about right. It's one of the positions that's always susceptible to injuries of some sort so having depth in this position is never a bad thing.
-
He's the right age and has played decent number of games in the last 2 season for a very good Roma side. I'd assume this is just a random stirring of the pot from someone but he seems like he would be a good signing at first glance. Oh and he's Brazilian......so we need him!
-
There will be another signing, that much is for certain. There's no way we go into this season without a new attacking player whether ST or RW. That was one of the problems last season and I don't believe for a second that all involved with the club don't understand that and have the determination/ability to fix it.

Loan deals especially are more and more likely the closer you get the the end of the window. I think we'll see minimum 1 loan perhaps 2 if it has a good option to buy built in.
