I wonder whether with all their new players if their fans can even begin to guess what their starting XI will be. I'm glad there's some other football on early to distract me on Saturday as its going to be a long few hours waiting for 3pm. Actually 2pm, as that'll be as interesting as anything else to see what the team is.
-
Wouldn't at all be surprised to have no more news about potential signings whether that be Maddison or someone new until after the Forrest game. Obviously these transfer dealings don't necessarily immediately involve the players or coaching staff but I can imagine they'll want all focus on Saturday for the next couple of days without any potential distractions in the news (even if work is going on in the background).

Bold statement. I don't believe that's true personally, I think that is a step too far for him. Can't even make it into the England set up regularly let alone playing week in week out for either of those teams. Luckily for us, I think he's right at the level we aspire to be at this season/next season; 5th-7th and Europe League.

A fair few mentioned this at the time that Dummett signed his extension that perhaps this was why. Now obviously Dummett still has a couple of years left in him as a squad player but can definitely see him doing this role before too long.
-
He's extremely likeable, he plays with a smile, he plays with passion, he chases every ball, he puts his foot in when needed and right at this moment in time he's putting out respectable numbers (in pre season admittedly). By all means judge him on previous seasons stats and performances as that is all we can do for now but you can't seriously be blind to the reasons that fans have taken to him and are therfore giving him some benefit of the doubt.
-
Maddison is very good and all but to say you have to build the team around him is going a bit far. Not disagreeing that Howe would tweak things tactically if he were to sign but he isn't of the calibre that demands a teams focus be solely on him.

Reports coming in this morning, Callum Wilson is out....his house to grab a Starbucks.
-
Considering how we played against Atalanta and Bilbao (not with full strength teams in either) I can't see anything but a win for us. Won't be easy and I suspect it'll be 0-0 at HT but we'll get the win. They are an unknown quantity so it may well be more tricky than some expect.
-
Tell them they can have 50m now and then an extra 15 when we finish above them and in Europe.
-
Through his agent (same one as Trippier and Wood) I would imagine but yes no doubt we've had some communication from his team that he's willing to move.
-
The fact we've gone in with a second bid suggests Leicester are willing to sell. Even Rodgers didn't deny it as he did with Fofana.
-
Can't argue that he is certainly impressive. He is one of those players that has perhaps been consistent for ao many seasons now (I'm terms of goals/assists/performances) that it'll take a move away for him to get into the next level ie. England and regular Champions League football. In regards to him or Paqueta it is a difficult decsion that ultimately I'm pleased I don't have to make because they both have advantages over the other in certain areas.

Wow! Brilliant ?

Almost there! Doing very well to waste time.

Last 4 seasons appearances. -35 -31 -31 -36 -44 (Norwich) Pretty decent I would say. Has had injuries but usually weeks out rather than months.

It's based on my entire adult life following football. Why do people assume that because you haven't worked in the football industry or as a football agent your opinion is worth nothing. I'm not a mechanic nor have I ever trained as one or worked in a garage. However I am more than capable of servicing and repairing my car. Knowledge isn't limited to your working life. I understand you think you're funny and that's fine but your whole point makes no sense. My assertion wasn't "ultra confident" , hence why I used the word "imagine" it implies some doubt.

That's a great goal.

Maddison and Werner would be superb. Pope Trippier Schar Botman Targett Maddison Bruno Joelinton Werner Wilson ASM Don't know about you but I'd say that's fairly realistic. Werner on loan with option to buy (Pay a % his wages). Maddison in for £50m. Both of these deals could easily be done in the next few weeks I'd imagine.
-
I agree with that about Fofana. However Maddison could easily have a better season than last and sneak into the England team if injuries go his way, that would certainly see his value go up past £50m if he does well this season and at the World Cup.
-
If all we've read is true then I would think so. Can't see Chelsea paying £80m for Fofana but they've done stupider stuff so who knows. Comes down to whether we can actually agree a fee. Would be nice to have it done before Saturday although I know that isn't likely.
-
Alot of players flop at Chelsea, especially attacking ones. Werner would do well here I think and suits what we need in terms of Wide Forwards but also cover for Wilson when needed, seems a no brainer. His wages and what Chelsea have up their sleeve is another matter.
-
No doubt about that. But that doesn't change the fact they won't be selling all 5 of those first team players when we are so close to start of the season.
-
So does £80m for Fofana but they can't just sell all their players a week before the season starts. If rumours are believed, Maddison, Fofana, Schmeichel, Tielemans and Barnes will all be leaving. Somethings got to give obviously but they won't be letting 5 first team players leave in the next 2 weeks whilst they've made ZERO signings.

I'd be less than amused with this happening.
