What a weird yellow card. In a friendly! What a joke.
-
Pitch is getting cut up pretty bad! Chunks of it all over the place.
-
Great save Pope.

Looks very much intentional to me. Burn and Lascelles are moving out wide to prove more width and passing opportunities. No reason to hate it. Most top teams do this to some extent. Fernandinho did it for City for a long time, Busquets did it for Barca etc etc.
-
10 minutes into pre season and people already mistaking frustration with being a "boo boy". Would you care if people were having a go at Lascelles or Shlevey? Probably not.
-
Don't know why ASM is complaining, defender won the ball fair and square then.
-
Is Willock wearing a belt?!
-
Anderson decent so far. Their keeper top is awful.
-
Why do the have TSV as their initials? What does that stand for out of interest?
-
Fernandez and Darlow almost certainly going. The other 2 still have a shot here I think.
-
I agree and perhaps it isn't a "flat" 3 and more of a "diamond" 3 with Anderson as the #10 as you say. Willock arguably came to us a #10 and Howe had adapted him into more of a #8 so yeah maybe he has the same thinking for Anderson. Seeing his Bristol Rovers clips though he does very well cutting inside from wide areas.
-
Willock - Shelvey - Anderson In the centre 3 as far as I was concerned and then, Murphy - Wilson - ASM as front 3.

4-3-3 by the looks of it. No doubt that that will be the formation for 90% of this season unless something goes drastically wrong.

Bringing Harrison in for 20M seems a little ridiculous to me. I'd much rather have Fraser and Almiron rotating in that RW position than spend anything on Harrison. Use that money elsewhere.
-
Yes technically, but if you're smart enough you can use VPN software to get around that if you are in other countries.

Not long to go now. Will be interesting to see what team starts this game. Hopefully Pope and Botman get a good amount of game time for us to get good look at them, especially Botman. Will we be having unlimited and roll on roll off substitutions do we think?

It's a difficult one with Paqueta, obviously he would improve the team, there's no doubt about that but I think the position he plays in we probably wouldn't have been considering this summer. If he were ST or RW I think it would've been done already. But arguably his signing (as long as we also got ST/RW in as well) would catapult us onto the next level. ie, challenging for 6th and perhaps 5th rather than 7th/8th. But there in lies the big question, are we going to spend the amount necessary to get Paqueta and a ST and a RW. I don't think it would be an issue of FFP this summer but it would definitely decrease our spending power for next summer. I want it to happen but I'm seriously doubtful it will.

Am I right in thinking it's also being shown on the YouTube channel? Would be much easier if so. Always screen casts to TV much better from YouTube than it does from NUFC website.
-
Dennis would be the best choice out of those 3. Plays anywhere across a front 3 and did well in a very poor Watford side. Sarr would be good but would mean we'd still need another ST.
-
Never seen the quality of the players in those positions as the issue, the big issue is Wilsons inability to play a whole season. Wood is fine as a bench player or in certain cup games but he can't be our only striker for 50% of the season while Wilson is unavailable. ST is more important than RW in my opinion .
-
Looking at the squad now I'd be absolutely fine with Lascelles staying. He'll be 4th choice CB so very unlikely to actually start in the Prem and would make most of his appearances in cup games I imagine. Fernandez is the odd one for me, he's gone to Austria so clearly fit again now but obviously isn't on his way out just yet. With Dumment able to cover CB I'm not sure we need Fernandez AND Lascelles.
-
10M for him seems low but then again he's not been at his best over the last season and a half so it would be a punt as you say. Would certainly not be against signing him, adds something different to Fraser/Almiron on the RW.
-
Looks decent in those clips. Signing a CM like that would certainly help with cover in that position and the fact he's still so young but with some Premier League experience is a massive bonus.
-
I personally believe Isaak has more potential and plays in a position that is notoriously expensive to sign top quality proven players. We sign him now and we can tick first choice ST off our transfer list for a good while. Obviously getting both him and Diaby would be the ideal outcome but also extremely unlikely.
-
Id agree in most circumstances. Although there would be some caveats. For example if the choice was to loan a player like Broja and get Harrison say in permanently or just to go big and get one of Diaby/Paqueta/Isaak then I think I would choose the single big ticket player in that case.
