I appreciate the window has not gone the way we wanted, but compare it to our team 5 years ago Dubravka Darlow Yedlin Manquillo Krafth Schar Clark Lascelles Fernandez Ritchie Lewis Dummett S. Longstaff M. Longstaff Hayden Shelvey Hendrick Willock Anderson Almiron Murphy ASM Fraser Gayle Joelinton Carroll Wilson We've come along way. I'd have snapped your arm off for where we are now, 5 years ago.

Great finish by Campbell. Sheffield United go on to win from here

We're worryingly low on goalkeepers

Brilliant points. They've made a mess of the appointments but made them in good faith. They're probably equally pissed at themselves and the people they hired for lack of results. The context of the first two paragraphs is key.

As a business owner, you try and invest in a structure that you believe is right. For them, it was Ashworth, Mitchell and Eales. Clearly wrong in hindsight but once you've made hires in good faith, you expect results. They didn't come. That's massively frustrating as an owner. Frustrated at yourself, the people you employed and the situation. Then this summer, they've attacked 4-5 clear targets that they've been monitoring/scouting, are a 'fit' in terms of playing style and character, and players Eddie has given the green light to sign. If reports are to be believed, even when we've matched clubs valuations, we've been rejected by the player. That's frustrating and potentially insulting. It's not an unwillingness to spend or act. Then, the Isak situation. Your star employee comes to your door and hands their notice in and effectively goes on strike. That's shit and not something that's in their control (unless they bow down to huge wage demands with 3 years left on the contract). As a business owner you can believe you've made many informed decisions in good faith, but have not got the results you wanted. That's really frustrating and two things happen - you quit totally or you learn lessons and come back fighting. We might not see the fight back until they've completed the thorough analysis and have 'war roomed' future scenarios.

Massively on them. As shit as the current summer situation is, I was thinking earlier that this could be a good thing in the long term. I can't imagine being told "No" goes down well with them it very rarely happens and they're not used to hearing it. They probably will take it personally and it could 'refocus' their effort.

He cant and won't, but someone like him could be very useful for the last 15-20 minutes when chasing a game. Get the ball in the box and he will win it. We don't have that option

Can't do it. @Mike already wanted me to smash my friends face in when he suggested 110M + Nunez was a good deal Edit: can't quote the right post but too pissed to fix it
-
Let's get him to bulk up, turn up his aggression and play him in CM

It's fine, still need 6 more to equal the amount of goalkeepers we have.

We'd have had two reds today, if in the league. Bruno would have gone for hands to the throat. Anything above the chest is a red. -
