Dont think there should be serious talk about Howe losing his job now(dont really think there is either other than a couple of posters). Cant deny im having concerns about his versatility and ability to handle rotations of both players and systems though. We were pretty lucky last year being able to put out more or less the same team throughout the season. And only one game per week made it possible to have that intensive playstyle we seem to be lacking these last couple of months. But these are just concerns for now, I certainly want to give him time to prove me wrong. He has more than earned that.

Again a strawman argument. I dont think many people looked at our games lately thought replacing Burn would fix everything. It was just the most glaring problem along with the midfield, but unlike in the midfield we had a possible replacement in Livramento. Dont remember Livra being at fault for 2 goals, he no doubt got outdone one time when left alone against the most inform player in the league. Great assist by Burn, but lets not act like we have the second coming on David Beckham on our hand. He hit the ball into the box without looking.

Either quote someone claiming everything would be fine after swapping Burn out, or stop making shit up.

Are Burns critics supposed to go anywhere? He played 15 min after Arsenal took off Ødegaard/Saka, still nearly gave a goal away. Judging Livramento after this game with a non existing midfield and up against a guy who had scored 6 in 4 is a little hasty maybe.

First of all the manager should not make decision based on how fans will react, so thats really not a good arguement even if it were true. And you can call it hindsight, but I thought it was pretty clear early on that it wasnt going to end well playing the same players 90 minutes twice a week for an extended period of time. Even after they showed clear signs of fatigue. Wouldnt play kids in the CL though, but used them as subs in the PL and let them have full games in the league cup.

I dont think for a second that the amount of injuries we have had is just unlucky though. The chances of that is miniscule. Think Eddie is alteast partly to blame with his management of the squad during the season. Something he easily should be able to learn from though.

The results arent that bad, its the performances. A win away against Fulham and Forest are great on paper, but we didnt look good at all. And with the exception of Villa (and Sunderland i guess) its been going on for 3 months now. Howe is making all kind of weird decisions like letting people who simply cant run anymore after 70 minutes play the full 90 minutes week in week out, refusing to replace Burn with Tino and whatever is going on with Hall. Im afraid its not only the players this seasons intensity have gotten to. Again, i dont want him gone at all. But he really needs to learn from his mistakes this season.

Burn probably did the right decision considering his pace, but thats the problem isnt it.
