Lunin read those eyes like a book

Tired and chaotic now, could see either side winning it
-
There goes the title race
-
Yeah, they not only changed ownership but ripped up basically their entire squad as well. Some of the players they signed won’t make it and will move on, but they will retain a strong core of those young players that will be the building blocks going forward. Poch should stay, and I honestly feel next season they will be making big strides and nearer to the top of the table.

That’s what I mean, just an unreal stat when they are where they are in the table

Yeah, plenty did. Of course, if we all agreed about everything on here it would get pretty boring. Selling Trippier for what we be something like a £10m fee is just not the way to go though imo, simply put he is still our best full back. 33 yes, but the other way to look at his age is how much value he can add to the likes of Livra, Hall, Miley and so on. You need those older, been there done that’s at our stage of growth especially when they are Trippier quality. He makes our right side so dangerous, if we are to sign a new RW this summer I’d only want Trippier behind them next season. Exciting prospect.

People actually saying he’s expendable because we’ve hit a decent run of form without him?
-
His best game for us
-
On pure ability he’s the best striker we’ve ever had
-
Trying to deploy Gomez in that creative TAA role just strikes me as arrogance from Klopp
-
He’s not trying to be anything, he’s farming twitter impressions by being controversial and outspoken. It’s better for everyone to just lock this thread, directing traffic his way is giving him what he wants.
-
He was so out of touch with everything by the point he rocked up here as manager, he was a total PR disaster and didnt seem to give a shit I don’t know why people think back on that period with anger though, both his stints as manager and DOF were absolutely hilarious.. (I’ve always been convinced he was only brought in as DOF to take the heat for Ashley spending nothing). I never see this mentioned as far getting names wrong go but I’m sure he used to call Geremi ‘Jerimiah’ Pretty sure alcohol abuse and early onset dementia had a lot to do with him and his outbursts but I wouldn’t change any of it, total comedy throughout. RIP

Wilson only ‘guarantees’ goals in the right system, in terms of promoted sides taking a chance some wouldn’t get the best out of him.. Burnley wouldn’t bother. His physicality is limited now, he needs service without the expectation of pressing/defending from the central position. Otherwise you just end up with the same injured version of him that we have. If he didn’t have that massive competitive streak in him I’d expect him to go Saudi, and he might even so because some offers are to good to turn down when money like that is dangled in front of a player that is on the decline.

We were seeing a lot more controlled possession when we had it, this season lacks composure on the ball throughout.. it’s uncontrolled chaos a lot of the time. It leads to basketball matches, just look through our fixtures over the last 2ish months. He is very good off the ball yes and that is my point about him being less useful in transition, if during a quick transition the ball has to go through Longstaff the attack usually fails. In a controlled press with the ball his attributes fit much better, he was good in the press last season. He is capable when the game is in our control is my main point.
-
He is technically limited for sure, that can’t be argued. But that becomes much less of an issue in a side that isn’t using quick transitions to attack, I actually think a bigger problem of his is that he doesn’t have that vision when he has little time to think.. how many times recently have we seen us try to break away quickly and he fumbles the ball or takes a easy foul while under little pressure? Hes not a transitional midfielder, but when we see most of the ball and can press at our full potential he becomes far more useful. In fact, I don’t think have any midfielders that suit fast transitional play and it’s been a big issue lately (besides Bruno anyway). And by the way, im not saying he should be a starter. But as an option he is fine, homegrown and good around the dressing room no doubt. Keep.
-
He was a big part of the success in midfield last season and performed consistently well, he didn’t just forget how to play football. Hes best utilised when used in a side playing with sustained pressure and possession high up the pitch like much of last season, in the chaotic transitions of recent he is much less effective. I believe next season will be more similar to last season rather than this, and not to mention he has clearly been carrying an injury for weeks and weeks now. He’ll be back to his best next season imo.
-
And they have Forest, Luton and Sheffield United to play yet.. not to mention a derby on top of that.
-
Hes fairly chaotic, I’m not sure him and Nunez in the same side really works. He doesn’t seem to possess that natural discipline positionally, he’s probably coachable but I expected more after almost a full season..

Let’s not forget the away fans screaming that Palmer was a Man City reject earlier on, poetry in motion seeing that last one go in
-
Don’t fall asleep when Palmers about
-
Gallagher having a quality game, he’d fit in so well for us imo. Leads all Chelsea pressing triggers and generally very intelligent all round.
-
ESR starting for Arsenal tonight is a good selection imo, he’s a player who benefits from sustained dominant possession against a weaker side rather than trying to win duels with an intense press. Technically gifted but physically questionable.
