To be fair, the strategy has only recently changed. They spent years spending huge amounts on big names in an attempt to grow the PSG brand, it worked. They could be a serious problem for the rest of Europe now they have seemingly adjusted their approach.

PSG are immense, probably the most complete side left in the competition. Back down to earth for Villa.

One of the best hit free kicks I’ve ever seen tbh

Not this season, they are there for the taking

Total missed opportunity otherwise

This guy has a premier league medal man

Think we might see another manager off here

Has been out with an horrific injury, at his age it could easily alter the trajectory of his career which obviously hopefully it hasn’t.

This is a great point, if you watch Murphy over a full game he often incites frustration from a lot of fans as you will see some of his bad moments. The thing is it’s his good moments that often literally define results for us for this season. Hes pretty insane value for money, if the sort of £30-40k range is accurate.. I’m not sure there’s another player in the league this season that has provided the output he has relative to his cost.

Callum Wilson: offered 'incentive-based' contract extension (Ornstein)

I also wouldn’t be surprised if he’s still here next year -
That counter is lethal man, Casemiro cannot hack this

To be fair, I wasn’t ruling us out of signing him with my comment. I was just pointing out that we will need to be able to give him real playing time to develop him at a good pace, and with European football it’s a possibility here. But yeah, the fees for these two players will prove difficult for us I agree. Dibling especially. I don’t see us signing David.

The likes of Delap and Dibling won’t go anywhere that they arnt guaranteed serious minutes and rightly so.

Good lord, the emotional scarring is deep with this one. TAA shared many years of his career with them and won everything, what’s the hate all about?

Isak will be the easiest clicks they’ll get all summer, gotta tune a lot of this rubbish out

Hopefully he finally leaves Lille this summer so the relentless links finally end

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)

Don’t bite to this guy, he’s absolutely nailed the ‘being thick but clever enough to provoke reaction with controversial soundbites’ act. In fact just don’t listen to talksport at all. -

He was/is a professional victim, and a manipulator. Would be just another past it English manager from a by gone era if wasn’t so self serving and has made a lot of money out of it in the process. Thank god it’s all a memory now. -
I’m not sure Lampard should have ever been considered a bad manager (unlike Gerrard). He has had appointments at scatty clubs and still done generally okay-good, I do feel that a club like Coventry is a good fit for him to. Be interesting to see how they do at PL level if he can get them up within another year, as that is the level that he still needs to prove he belongs at. I think he’s avoided another bad circumstance type of job like he walked into at Everton and his interim Chelsea spell. Must be nice to work without some of the insane pressure he would have felt there.
