  1. Full momentum and confidence now, great to see
  2. Tonali covering for Joelintons sloppiness again
  3. Moyes gamble paying off, typical Everton
  4. I’m not saying he’s ONLY good in transition, I said he is great in that role. He’s a decent player outside of that, and I advocated for signing him in summer ‘23. I don’t feel his attributes are best suited for us anymore though, and I think we could get more out of a different player. (Forest would also want big money for him now).
  5. In transition, yes he is
  6. It’s a huge offer, obviously healthy for PSR. But I think they went with the short term gain option, and could still sell him in the summer for the same or more? Not sure they felt like they needed to snatch at that deal and sell a first team mainstay mid season when they are chasing a European spot. You also need to consider their current PSR position, did they need to sell? And did he want to go? Two sides to this coin.
  7. Rashford just seems toxic, not sure it’s necessary for Villa. Guys ego is huge.
  8. Wait until Anderson has had a couple of seasons there, he’s going to turn into prime Kaka
  9. Eh, it was a serious offer for him. But it’s easy to overlook how big he’s been for them this season, he’s started literally every PL game.
  10. It has aged well indeed
  11. This is becoming a crime scene
  12. Conceding early vs Forest is a nightmare
  13. Pretty much this, his performances that season went a long way to make the team greater than the sum of its parts. Hes a bit of a freak really, rarely if ever injured and would give you insane km numbers game in game out. Good luck to him.
  14. Heading off to Saudi at 24 is silly, he could have had a serious career

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

If Tonali keeps playing like this it’s inevitable that he will attract attention from CL established clubs, not sure how it’s a news bulletin
  16. I don’t think anyone will argue that Almiron is a better footballer than Murphy I do feel that summary is harsh on him though, a lot of the good work on that side during 22/23 was down to the ground Almiron was able to cover for 90 mins week in week out.
  17. Yeah, that’s fairly impressive stuff tbf. I hadn’t realised he had quite as many assists as he does, likely higher than they would be if he was not assisting Isak but solid numbers nonetheless
  18. Fair play to him for the honesty, Rashford must be a shit influence to have around if hes being that blunt. Also, its a decent distraction from their current results. Well played Amorim I say.
  19. Man United look lethargic here, some of these players don’t have the athletic attributes to really play for this guy.
  20. I agree with you, and it is the reality. Murphy’s current form isn’t likely to be sustainable just as Miggys in 22/23 was never going to be. Murphy obviously isn’t ideal long term for a CL chasing side, but as Howe has proved a few times now he can squeeze enough % out of more limited players by keeping them in the team week in week out and reap the rewards. I think Murphy will be fine for the rest of season, even if his numbers do drop off some. In the summer we will address the RW I’m fairly certain, but I wouldn’t be so sure whoever is signed will displace Murphy instantly and come straight into the side. The under lying point I’m making falls back to the tired PSR conversation as always.
  21. He’s never been that bad, he’s just not of the quality that some of our fans would like to see out wide. When we are not playing well he tends to take a lot of the criticism. Could he be upgraded? Absolutely, but im not sure it’s a necessity right now. Hes the type of player that Howe gets a lot from, although he is limited in some aspects of his game he can be utilised in specific manners that emphasise his good attributes. Just like Howe did with Almiron in the ultra press of 22/23.
