  1. Welcome to the club mate, why do you think I'm even here?
  2. For the first 15 minutes my brain was telling me I was watching Italy x England
  3. Please get well soon, Brasil doesn't have a midfield without you!
  4. As a brazilian I'd like to say that he is finally playing for country consistently as well as he plays for club. Ancelotti did wounders for him.
  5. No surprise but bruno assisted two balls that went to the post already
  6. I said it on my very first post here, it's like he has the triangle button of PES/Fifa with'in his feet
  7. I coudn't watch the match because of some how can I say "home owners association" drama, but as far as I could tell from the extended highlights this was the first match that bruno really showed what he can do on a yellow shirt (and I'm not even talking about the goal)
  8. For a brief moment I though that you were recomending that Eddie should go for Kane
  9. I hate fluminense for club reasons, that said, I'm also hating myself because this is the 3rd time I'm rooting for them in the CWC I should be rooting for Lodi, he's from our youth system, his breakout season was the same as Bruno's
  10. I lived to see Renight Gaúcho taking fucking FLUMINENSE with FABIO aged 44 in goal to a quarter final in a club wc over inter, now I fell I've seen everything in football
  11. Fabio used to play with Ronaldinho in Gremio's youth academy Also, Ganso was hailed as the better prospect when compared with Neymar in the 2010 Santos, but that was before his knee ligaments gave up on life AND Fluminense won the second to last Libertadores with Felipe Melo, Marcelo, Fábio and Ganso on their squad
  12. I honestly don't agree with "all" the best, we have talents like Estevão, Arrascaeta, Igor Jesus, and even Raphael Veiga that would start for most prem teams, also, Palmeiras right now is a more expensive team than Porto for example and they don't come close to Flamengo in money, Argentinians like Boca and River will always be tough on "Catimba" and grit alone, but the top BR teams would contend for Europe in most of the top 5 leagues. BTW, Fluminense is a joke in Brazil, they had a lucky spell under Diniz, they also are famous for being relegated on the pitch but not on the league, Botafogo is more of a joke than Tottenham/Arsenal in Brazil in the sense that they just choke everytime since garrincha, they broke that spell last year EDIT: About the calendar, I would LOVE for FIFA to unify it, there has been discussion in making seasons in Brasil like the european ones for at least over a decade EDIT: I'm a few pints in, sorry for the bad grammar, not my first language
  13. Well, about the advantage, the oposite has also been true for decades, in the anual intercontinental cup, south american teams would arrive after a 70+ matches season for the tournament while europeans would be mid-season. People will always find excuses, honestly, all bad details aside, I'm just glad to have a "world cup" for clubs like this, this should be really fun for anyone who loves football, specially if this becomes a long living cup EDIT: My team lost the final that gave Flamengo this spot, Fucking dumb CB dived from behind at a Flamengo player on the sideline and got a red card out of nowhere, cost us that game

    Copa America

I'm surprised that none of you are talking about the armlock a bald colombian staff made on a Uruguai player before all the crowd stuff even happened
  15. That music was a hit in brazil around 2008, it's name is "dança do créu" he's trying to do speed 5 there

    England

New coach for Brasil today and both sides with lots of players out for injury. That was BR best game in more than a year, 30s in and we were linking passes with 1 touches and backhill's, also we got very lucky with Walker's injury. For the newbies, amazing game for Bento, Beraldo, Wendell and Endrick. All of them making their debut for the national team in wembley. Special shout for Bento and Endrick. Bento, 24, first game as BR goalkeaper, at wembley against UK, first 20 minutes he was very nervous but after the first save he came into his own. Endrick, 17, always looking like a generational talent, if he continues like this, the sky isn't the limit.

    England

Bento is the next great BR keeper, only 24. He's extremely nervous today but he isn't easy to score on
  18. slow as fuck, clearly overhyped
  19. Friday we will have City vs Fluminense for the club WC final, That's the team of the current main Brazil coach, should be an interesting/entertaining massacre from city against the so called relationism People here in Brazil have been comparing his style with Guardiola's for years, truth is appart from liking the ball their teams don't have much in common, still, should prove a interesting watch of opposing styles with very different player levels (fluminense has Marcelo, Felipe Melo and a 43y/o keeper)
  20. That's a proper football history lesson mate!
  21. That's why it's interesting. In classic Brazil the norm would be something like 9 11 7 10 8 5 6 4 3 2 1 or 9 11 7/8 10 7/8 5 6 4 3 2
  22. I find it funny how it changes according to country, here in brazil the 1st defensive midfielder, someone like casemiro, is always the 5, that or he is the libero of the back 3, number 8 usually is the second midfielder, 7 and 11 are light attackers with lots of pace and dribble, 9 is the 9 obviusly, 10 is obviously the ten. But in defense we differ too, usually we have a RB as 2, LB as 6 and 3 and 4 for the CB's. Sometimes we have someone like Kaká playing with the 8 too, if that happens 7 is usually the second DMF.
  23. Watching the atmosphere, just remind's me how much I miss any match live
