    Harvey Barnes

If Gordon could strike a ball like Barnes, he would be a world-class winger. Finishing is the only part of his game that needs some improvement. I don’t mean it’s bad, but he would be on another level as a winger if he could score more goals.
  2. Yeah it will be Barnes as LW and Murphy on RW, Gordon is coming in at the 69th minute.
  3. So once Botman recovers, how are we going to play him, Schar, Burn, Kelly, and Thiaw as CBs with a game per week? That’s five of them. Isn’t that too much? I don’t know but it feels like getting Barnes for a LW all over again when we could have invested that money in other positions. Burn and Kelly shouldn’t play as LBs in my humble opinion, Tino should play there if Trippier is still with us next season, and Hall should be our second option. Burn and Kelly could be our 3rd/ 4th options. I think we should prioritize our budget for a RW and a forward.
  4. He is doing a 3-6-1 only for Foden not to be benched. Playing him seems more important than winning the trophy.
  5. And he happens to be a RW, what a coincidence.
  6. I agree with this. All of our big purchases (greater than 30m) have been players in early 20s who still have the ability to develop and have their value increase as well. This applies to Isak, Bruno, Botman, Gordon, Tonali, Tino, and Hall. Wood was the only exception, but he was more of an emergency purchase than a long term one.
  7. I am for sure thinking too much into it, but Raphinha pushed down his Barca teammate Araujo during the Brazil vs Uruguay match, he must be leaving Barca then
  8. I think we should pay 40m.
  9. Well, what if we have a buy-back clause for 33m, then it would be like a loan that could save our FFP this year
  10. Even if we ended up without signing a new RW, Gordon could still play as a RW and Barnes could be our LW.
  11. We have been linked with defenders a lot more than with any other position so far. Other than Olise, have we been linked with any RW?

I don’t get why you felt offended since you were the one who started the personal attacks and made fun of opinions that don’t align with yours.

    Joe Willock

Since you seem to have the best opinions in the market and almost sound as good as Southgate, what was wrong with saying Willock wouldn’t be good enough to start in any top 6 team? Would their fans wish to sign him? We all know the answer to that. We can say that Bruno and Joelinton can easily find their starting place in those teams. I think he is good at carrying the ball in open spaces, but his passing, vision, decisions, and reading the game aren’t on a level needed for an elite midfielder. If we play against a compact defensive blocks then he really is as good as Longstaff or Anderson. Since we should be dominating possession in most of our games, his abilities in counterattacks wouldn’t be as needed. He is good enough to be a backup, but I don’t get why some of you felt offended when saying he can’t start in any top PL team. I think that would be the popular opinion among all PL fans as well.

Longstaff was also a part of the midfield that got us forth, so that doesn’t mean much by itself.
  15. Not playing UCL makes it impossible to sign players like him. He can literally start for almost any team in the world.
  16. William is the better player, but we need a RW, unless Gordon is moved to RW but then he wouldn’t be as good there.
  17. Get Chiesa as a RW, and since he gets injured a lot, Minteh gets enough playtime for his development. Problem solved.
  18. Gotta get used to it before the next world cup.
  19. Can’t believe we were actually in the race to sign Arda Guler last year, this guy is going to be a gem.
  20. He must’ve felt like shit watching his teammates play today.
  21. You do have a good point, but the thing is we are going to get an expensive RW whether he stays or not, and we should be getting one who’s young enough to stay with us for a few years at least. That means Minteh won’t have a leading role in our team even if he does well (unless the new RW flops, and I really hope that won’t be the case). Then, if Minteh turns out to be a great player for PL, he would most likely be a backup for our new RW, in that case it would be better to get this 40m transfer fee than have him warm our bench, especially for our current financial situation. If he turns out to be not suitable for PL, then we should get that 40m and run. I mean imagine if we get a player on the level of Olise, what role would Minteh play for us in the next 3 years? If this 40m story is true, it would be better to get that cash to strengthen our positions elsewhere. I really like the player and his style, and I wish he becomes our Mane, but unfortunately the PSR rules and our current standing might force us to think differently.
  22. An attacking trio of Gordon-Isak-Olise would be lethal. But the most difficult thing about getting Olise isn’t his fees, it would be the competition from other teams who would love to sign him.
