Isn’t the lack of rotation due to the depleted bench in the first place? the front 3 and 2 midfielders used to be rotated at the 60th min in every match at the beginning of the season, that’s when Wilson, Barnes, Murphy, Anderson, and Longstaff used to come in for Isak, Gordon, Almiron, Tonali, and Joelinton. it’s only when the injuries started piling up did Howe stop rotating.

I would go for EL because this is last season in UCL where 3rd places drop to EL, as the new format will not allow this anymore. This might be a good time to win the EL and not feel like we are underachieving. As we get stronger in the coming years, not qualifying to UCL will feel like a failure.

It all depends on whether or not we make it to the R16 in the UCL. We would get €9.6m for just making it there. This allows for a €48m transfer if it’s a 5 year contract.
