NUFC360 has clearly had its Ratner’s moment - I almost feel sorry for them in that they’re not close to the worst on NUFC twitter from what I’ve seen. Joelinton offering Steve Wraith to meet him the SJP car park, or Isak calling Burnsey a cunt, would have been far more satisfying.

Robson and that side were rightly criticised that season - though booing should only ever be heard at a pantomime. Context is always important - NUFC were relatively richer as a club then than they now, we won only two away games that season (the last of those at Fulham in late October!) and while we finished 5th, if the season had ran even for another round of games we’d have likely finished 8th.

My ideal pot would be three big hitters, but one thing I’m really hoping for is that we pull out three teams we’ve never played competitively before. There’s quite a few teams we’ve drawn twice before in Europe (Inter, Barca, Feyenoord - Kiev got knocked out unqualifying course). We’ve played Porto, Benfica, Antwerp, Rangers before. I wouldn’t be complaining about any of them being in our group, but I like seeing NUFC tick off new European clubs.

9/10 window for me. We knew about the budget constraints and the club has brought in talent in key positions. Of course, like others it would have been great to see a couple of more (RW & RCB) but I do think that’s FFP not will in action there. 10/10 window if we can offload Fraser.

I think Geordie Dazzler nailed it above tbh. I’ve been to hundreds of NUFC matches and never uttered anything but supportive noises during a game. I hate moaning and whining and booing. And social media feels like an extension of that. After many of those games though, I have moaned and whined and criticised with my mates in the pub - who did likewise. I didn’t think twice because it couldn’t impact the players - unless of course they were in the Three Bulls on the sauce at 5pm. In which case, they deserved the dressing down for their lack of professionalism

Yeah, I don’t doubt it’s the right approach. I usually feel less stressed when trying to do that (being venomous isn’t usually all that cathartic). I tend to get critical when I know a good player is capable of more than a lesser player playing at their maximum - but I also forget that these blokes are human beings, and maintaining perfection is usually reserved for a handful of players on the planet. Happily, I don’t think anyone on here has posted owt as obnoxious as that NUFC360 post

I always found that oddball behaviour (unless it’s a kid doing it).

It is worth re-reading the Man City thread itself. Some of those on a high horse on this one were perfectly happy to criticise individual players on that thread. Happily I don't think Miggy can read English, so we're probably safe from an angry reply on here from Almiron.

Yep - bunch of daft lads who clearly forgot the audience that twitter brings. It is why discussing football generally on twitter isn't a good idea - it is a completely open forum, and things can go viral. Mind, if the players are following supporter accounts, then they've been daft themselves.
-
There isn't anyone on this site who hasn't levelled criticism of what they view as poor performances - including the Man City game the other day. People are just being selective in who they deem worthy of criticism (or not).
-
I've questioned his recent form - but I've never said he's shite or should be targeted for blame. I can't imagine a less interesting 'discussion' than everyone just agreeing about how awesome everything is. I'm not being lumped in with that fucking nonsense from NUFC360.
-
Unbelievably daft post, but then it is twitter - and I'll never understand why public figures interact with these fans twitter groups anyway. It isn't comparable to discussion on a forum, for me. If any player hops onto a club forum, then it really is on them. There are going to be critical posts on every player at every club in the world - and they'd need to actively seek those posts out. I've never heard of a player who goes without criticism from a section of the support. The players should get off social media generally - and particularly if they are sensitive to that sort of shite.

Eastenders, maybe? Faaaaaaaaaahmleee. Otherwise, a mystery to me - I never found the Boleyn and its environs particularly family friendly

Venison was a mackem, no doubts there - but this can be forgiven (Howey - who was part of that squad - was of course. Our biggest stand is named after a boyhood sunderland fan ...). I understand Venison is meant to prefer B&W these days - he was the OG '92er'

Yep - the last couple of years were literally the same designs with the colours changed. Standardised template kits. -
There I am, wishing my bottom had never been born

If Mike Ashley gives me 10m quid I might just stop calling him a fat fucking parasite. Yes, I can be bought.
-
Unfortunately not - there'd be signing on fees & wages to consider
-
To me it also signifies that the commentators think X club is located in a nice, middle class town / city / hamlet. Tends to be reserved for Southern clubs outside of London. So Peterborough are more likely to be described this way than Barnsley

yep, that was the nadir - up there with Coventry's brown away kit for me. As I was a teenager, I was also stupid enough to buy that monstrosity, despite thinking it was fucking horrible. That green / orange stripe's stitching was excellent for nipple rash -
