  1. Tonali was the better of the three for me. Bruno had another Bruno 2023 performance. I think the lad needs to worry more about his performances than improved contracts.
  2. Two years ago at this point Steve Bruce’s mags were limping to a shite 2-0 loss at Villa.
  3. Joelinton taking the focus away from Gordon’s foul. Howe needs to hook Gordon, the lad is going to get red carded here
  4. Not too bad tbf - still in it. These are bloody good - but we knew that already. They’re not having an off day, so to be in at HT at 1-0 is hardly the end of the world. Yes, a few of our players aren’t at their level. But that’s why they’ve just won the treble, and we’re hoping for top four again. They’re a level above - getting to this level will take time. We can still nick something here though.
  5. Yep. I’ve seen a lot on here saying we’re ‘Showing them too much respect’. I don’t think that’s true - what’s happening here is that they us showing us respect.
  6. Yep. They’re doing to us what we do to about 90% of this division.
  7. I’m surprised by how wound up some are here. They’re obviously a much better side than us - I don’t think we’ve been shite, they’re just really fucking good
  8. Interesting one this. Man City obviously taking us seriously & up for it. Always a useful litmus test to see which of our players are on their level. Early stages tells me Isak and Tonali definitely are
  9. And so do some Saudi royal palaces, if one my mates is correct. He went to a do held by a minor royal (loads of them over there). Apparently there was peeve there
  10. Happily you didn’t have a pint - because who wants to be whipped in a public square?
  11. Leo Sayer would chin the cunts if they tried propping up the bar
  12. He does. But this type of ‘whatabouttery’ is easy when you’re not actually living in a dictatorship. Try walking down the streets of Washington DC, shouting ‘fuck Biden’ and calling for him to be expelled from office. Then try that in Riyadh with MBS. Which one do you think is more likely to result in your execution?
  13. They’ve had their fair share of toppling democratic govts in the Americas, I can’t argue that
  14. I mean, it’s pretty easy to imagine better owners.
  15. Yep. The country has no formal penal code, yet executes people like it’s going out of fashion. Imagine backing a dictator who kills people who want democracy?
  16. No, the point is that dictators tend not to be convicted for their crimes - certainly not without being toppled. The idea that ‘hey, the CIA reckoned he did but there were no charges’ is a joke. The CIA can’t charge him ffs
  17. Yeah, always R&W aaal owa the Percy. Used to be one of my regular post-match pubs - the ‘Toon disco’ upstairs was notable for its Mackem-heavy clientele.
  18. I’m sympathetic to Man Utd on this one. We heard enough shite re ‘Ashley has spent millions’. He didn’t personally - it was the club’s money
  19. He’ll be lucky to play for anyone if he’s done for spot fixing.
  20. He’d need to be put on trial - and given it isn’t a crime against humanity, it would need to be a trial in KSA, not The Hague. What do you think the chances are of the Crown Prince being brought up on accessory to murder charges in KSA? Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Mao etc - not a conviction between them. Innocent, I take it?
